• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

30 degrees outside, it may be time to call it a season...

For the first time in many years I am having to keep my bike (a Spyder RT) outside for the winter, covered, and with a Battery Tender, but outside the garage. This morning it is 30 degrees here, and there's not much hope for more nice riding weather as the winter approaches. I think it may be time to add the Stabil, stuff some rags into the exhaust, put a few packets of the peppermint on the seat (to deter rodents), and secure the cover. At my age of 83, looking forward to next Spring is a gamble, but it looks like I am done for this season.

Several years ago, Lamont and I started out for a rally in Florida from Greeneville, TN. It was 24 degrees when we left. Going up over the mountains to Ashville, NC, it got colder. That was a tough ride, for sure. Once you're frozen, you just don't recover, regardless of how warm it gets outside.

That's when I broke down and went to electric gear. Now it really doesn't matter what the temperature is. As long is it's dry, I'm good!

Yup... 26° here and lots of frost. I likely will take my annual end of year ride to Poopy's next week (listening to Christmas music :)) and do the end of year maintenance. I'll likely be using storage time to prep the RT S2S for a Spring sale. Due to lack of desire, I think my long distance touring is done. I'll likely hunt down a new leftover Rally Ryker for my everyday blast around toy. We shall see...

That must be when you sold me your bunny suit!
