• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Update to BRP GO! app - April 2024

It astounds me that BRP are still “improving” the Go app. I would have thought that would have stopped once they came out with the new ACP console. (The new, less than perfect, ACP console:roflblack:)

Are they replacing the pre-24 models with something new?

Not that I am aware of, mbranscum. BRP Go (or is it BRP Connect? I’ve lost track which one was first, and which is current ;) ) is the interface for the '23 and earlier. It is good to see they are still upgrading it. Although many, like me, have given it away as a bad joke and are simply using something like Garmin XT or our phones as the interface for GPS, FOBO, Weather, Music etc.
Mind you, some have BRP Go (Connect?) working perfectly for them.

I sure hope this upgrade does something to make BRP Go work better! It's a source of constant frustration, one day it works pretty good; the next day it freezes up & won't connect! So frustrating!!
Has anybody found a trick to successfully use this app??

I think sequence of connection, I turn on helmet wait for it to connect to phone then turn on bike and all is well

I know that this is an older thread, but after searching, I decided to post in this one instead of creating a new thread.

Has anyone noticed that for the last 4 or 5 consecutive days that the BRP Go app has been updating from the app store?

In the past it's been a bit out of the norm for this app to update but then 5 updates in a row? Strange.

Anyone know what's up?

I pulled it up on in the App Store on my iPhone. It shows Version 5.1.0 and says the latest update has bug fixes and performance improvement.

If you click on "What's New >" it shows a list of updates going back over a year, with a brief statement about each update.
Warning: most of the updates just say "bug fixes and performance improvements".

Yup, I saw that. I'm just saying that so many updates in a row is super unusual for BRP. It makes me think that each of these updates may have been buggy and then they needed another update to address the previous bugs.

I've not used BRP Go in a while, so I have no idea what's going on, just curious to see if others have noticed this.

I see 7 updates in 9 months since the release of version 4.0.1, 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 mention a new look, and 4.1.1 mentions new custom waypoint function, and 4.1.3 mentions On Road Navigation for the 10.25" displays.

All of the updates mention bug fixes and performance improvements.

Personally, if I owned a bike that used the BRP GO!/BRP Connect architecture I'd be happy that they are actively working to make it better and fix problems with it.

But then I'm retired IT guy that spent a significant portion of my career writing custom software fixes and enhancements for clients.
