I assume that you have compared clutch force between engine running and engine not running, and finding no difference? And BTW, the 998 will use more oil than what you would normally expect. That's normal for that engine. But, if the clutch pneumatic diaphragm is damaged, it will REALLY use a lot of oil, possibly to the point of smoking. So, there's also that.
