• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Introducing myself and my 'Batmobile'.

Just to introduce myself and the Batmobile as my family says 😂

Jorquera 2.jpg

Unit used for first time past Saturday. Second-hand, two years old, with about 1500 miles.

First impression is front and back suspension is rubbish, needs to be replaced. Also front windshield is a must.

The rest is a driving pleasure 🥰

The previous owner dismantled the plate number support, as you can see in the picture, so I will see if I can get it to install again, really difficult in Spain.

Glad to have you on board with the Spyder Lovers Forum. Nice looking
Spyder Ryde by the way.

Please post up your questions and comments about anything Spyder.

Enjoy your Ryde Times. (y)

Welcome and congratulations!!

Welcome and "un saludo" from Lisbon, Portugal...

I've been in two meetings of the Spyder Club España, all lovely people there.

For the rear suspension (and front if you feel it needs an upgrade) look for Shock Factory (French manufacturer, but will deliver anywhere in Europe).
I've been riding mine with a Shock Factory suspension since 2018 and 50,000 km, and it's quite an upgrade, no more rear bottoming for two up riding.

Best regards.

Just placed some questions to EMC-Suspensions guys, also French people.

Past weekend tested the Spyder with my wife behind. We are not heavy people, about 80 kilograms each including motorbike gear. What a disaster the suspension, bottoming continuously even on good asphalt roads!!

I can understand to have a bad quality suspension, but cannot understand a suspension that's not rideable.

Maybe this is why the original owner sold the Spyder? There are a number of items to check. With the engine running and in gear, do you hear the compressor? You don't say what year, but an F3 limited will have auto fill leveling. The "S" models are manual fill I think, there is a valve under the seat to fill their air bag. Are there any leaks in the air lines with auto or manual fill? If auto fill, there is an arm under the left side saddle bag that has to be attached to the swingarm the correct way. You might also need the BUDS diagnostic program to check the ride height if your F3 has auto leveling. We need a little bit more info, if it's an F3 L or an S, and you need to do some investigating.

The old owner only did 2000 miles, I think he had no time to properly know the bike.

My F3 model is an "S". No magic here, just a common hydraulic shock and spring with no settings, nothing.

The point is that closer to me, a local dealer is selling a "two-seater spring" option for the F3. That tells to me that this problem is known.
