• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wait for new version of BRP GO compatible with Android for 10.25 inch display or get dedicated GPS?

BRP site says the new version of BRP GO, which is coming Spring 2026, will support iOS or Android without a headset.

Does anyone’s past experiences with BRP GO lend confidence to this might actually work? Trying to decide on Black Friday deals on GPS’s.

Well well, nice to see, maybe it will work better?! I do have a Garmin GPS on mine, still need tower to start maps and sometimes we go places where it is very very slow or non existent, so the GPS is essential for us.

Since that picture doesn't have a URL I have serious doubts that it is real.

BRP GO! only works on the 7.8" display on earlier models and on the 10.25" display of the electric motorcycles. It also works with their snowmobile and seadoo watercraft.
Apple CarPlay is what works with the 10.25" displays of the 3-wheel models.

Here's what I found on the CAN-AM website:

BRP GO! can be used on:
- The 7.8" display of 3-wheel vehicles: When BRP GO! is connected to the display, you can use select compatible apps on the vehicle display (through screen mirroring).
- The 10.25" display of electric motorcycles: When BRP GO! is paired with the display, it will offer vehicle information of your Can-Am electric motorcycle right from your phone

*For the 10.25" display of 3-wheel vehicles, Apple CarPlay replaces the screen mirroring features of the BRP GO! app.

Well it does say On-Road and spring 2026…..so I think it’s real ;)

Snowmobile and watercraft are not On-Road :)

Anyway time will tell, I will still have a GPS because some places we go doesn’t have tower or they are very slow…..

Looks like the real deal to me

Interesting.

It does say "...no headset required." so I'm wondering how the "advanced navigation" is going to work as far as telling you when to turn.

Let's hope it doesn't mess up the Apple CarPlay support, as mine has been working great since the BRP Connect 4.1 update.

Just a hunch here but it will probably arrive via a wifi download and show up in the applets menu labeled something like "Navigation". Spoken turn by turn directions will come through the external speakers. If you are wearing your helmet and your headset is paired with the infotainment system then you may have the option to hear them through your headset. A BRP-Go app on your phone (any phone) will allow you to create and save rides to the Navigation applet just like Harley's Ride Planner.
If this navigation app is as good as or better than say Goggle or Apple Maps, I may not even rely on Apple CarPlay like I have been. I couldn't care less about phone connectivity, and I can enjoy all the music I want from the music apps on my iPhone bluetoothed to the Media applet.
Between now and the supposed release date there will be a lot of speculation and if it really does come to life it may look nothing like what I hope it will. Just sayin'

The Can-Am Ski-Doo has this now. If you go to https://ski-doo.brp.com/us/en/discover-ski-doo/technologies/10-25-display.html
You will get a good idea of what potentially awaits us.

There's a "how to use your GPS" link on that page too:

So some 2025 and 2026 Ski-Doos have a GPS a built in GPS module, which Spyders do not have.
If you have a 2023 or 2024 Ski-Doo you can purchase the GPS module and have it installed by your local Ski-Doo dealer, and will possibly need a software update.

Make Sure That You Have a GPS Module Installed on Your Snowmobile

The built-in GPS is only available on Ski-Doo snowmobile models equipped with the 10.25” display.
- If you have a 2026 model, your vehicle already comes with the GPS module with Group Ride.
- If you have a 2025 model, your vehicle already comes with the GPS module without Group Ride. To benefit from the Group Ride feature, you will have to purchase the GPS module with Group Ride and have it installed by your local dealer. You will also need to do a software update either via Wi-Fi or directly at your local dealer.

There isn't an add on GPS module for Spyders, and I've got money to bet that says the Ski-Doo module can't be installed on a Spyder.

I found the GPS module for the 2023 and 2024 Ski-Doos:

There's a link to the install instructions on that page.

There are a lot of dead areas around here, so I have rever and google maps offline files downloaded on my phone that cover most everything east of the Mississippi, both still work even when there is no signal.

I've switched to using the Google Maps application on my desktop computer (not the Google Maps website). The interface is pretty good, and allows you to drag and drop your route, as long as you set destination points along the route so it doesn't try to "optimize" the route once you send it to your phone.
I also run the Google Maps app on my iPhone. I am logged into the desktop application and the app with the same Google account, and in the desktop application there's an option to send the route to your phone.

Since my Honda Ridgeline also supports the Google Maps app I can use this process with either my Ridgeline or my Spyder.
