• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

WTB: 2014 Spyder RTL side cover

On a recent trip, unbeknownst to me, I ejected the right hand side cover to my bike. The pictures are of the left side cover. If anyone has the right cover please let me know what you would like for it. Extra points for one in matte silver platinum like the original, but I will take any color and paint it. Thanks!

Just a little info, if you find one (of any color other than silver), you can have it wrapped to match your silver machine. Works better and is less costly than paint.

I never knew it could be wrapped to that color. Very interesting. Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

I feel for you brother! Same thing happened to me, but I was close to home. I took the chance (at interstate speeds 😨) of retracing my path with the smallest of hopes... but I found it, just a little banged up on one corner and a post I had to reinforce. Won't be the first time we've lost somethin' on a ride! Best of luck Sir!

Thanks and I never realized how easy these things were to blow off. IF I find another one, I will tether it on so I don't have to go through this again. At least you were able to retrieve yours and good for you on that. Banged up, but t least you were able to retrieve it. Mine too was on an interstate but I have no idea where since I never saw or heard it leave the bike. The problem now is finding another one. I've posted on here and several Facebook groups on what I need but so far no legitimate offers. One guy came instantly back to me and said he had a cover and asked me what I would give for one and I said I would go $100. He said that would be fine and he just happened to have one in the silver platinum that I need. Well, methinks this was all a scam, so I blew him off. If I don't find a used one, I was looking at new and with the emblem included. I am looking at almost $400. Lot of money for a piece of plastic. Oh well, live and learn.

I did the same thing, unbeknownst to me somewhere in TN on the way to the last Spyders in the Red Rocks in 2017. Noticed it at a fuel stop; no chance to go hunting. Called my local dealership from the fuel stop and they had the part by the time I returned home. Sometimes you bite the bear...

Well, that is where my panel is planted, on the interstate in Tennessee. There were 3 of us riding to the BMW National Rally over in Lebanon and when we stopped for fuel one of the guys commented on my missing piece. Like you too, there was no chance to go look for it. So we are growing quite a crop of body panels in Tennessee. I am probably going to have to bite the bullet and buy it too.
