• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What's the correct name/part # for these F3-S Mirror In-fill Panels?

I recently bought a low mileage 2021 F3-S and am slowly 'making it mine'...

One of the last jobs to do is replace the the small in-fill mirror panels. The previous owner has drilled and fitted LED running lights which I want to remove.

Now the panels are a separate piece of the mirror assembly and held in place by a small tang and screw. Looking at the Spyder's BRP microfiche, I can't find the panel as a separate piece, but I can't believe that they aren't available separately. I've attached a photo showing what I mean.

Dealer support here in the UK isn't quite as good as with you guys over the pond, so I was wondering if anybody could come up with the correct name and/or part numbers for these in-fill panels please? I can then see if I can order some over here.

I drew a complete blank in the end, and it looks like you have to order a complete assembly which comes in at very silly money, so the decision was 'to wrap or spray'?

Having a good stock of rattle can black and clear coat, I decided to fill (flexible plastic filler) and spray. The panel itself is a convex shape and my sanding skills are not up to replicating that, so the holes were filled and sanded flat. Then thin coats of gloss black, wet and dry, then thin coats of clear coat.
When you're rubbing down the coats, it always looks rubbish doesn't it, but 'trust the process, trust the process' and, if I say so myself, I'm dead pleased with the result, a pretty good finish for a rattle can, IMHO. 🙃

The photos show it going from 'yuk, I don't like those LEDs' to 'what have I done!' to 'well pleased'
