• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Ordered the Clutch assist kit from BRP

Updated my 2015 CAN AM F3S with the vacuum assist for the clutch. It is a very noticeable difference in the pull required. I’ve had a few times when stuck in traffic when my hand would hurt from having to keep the clutch level pulled in. I like change the mod has made.

Makes a Big difference - They did mine under warranty because they claimed I'm old and couldn't hold in the clutch - It worked!?

Hello all new Spyder owners here. Thanks for all the information on this clutch kit. We just picked up a 2018 F3 Sport with manual transmission and would like to make the clutch pull easier. We will check out all of your posts and links. Thanks a lot. Jeff and Marty

Are all the F3 clutch levers difficult? I am looking at possibly purchasing a 2019 F3-S with manual transmission and clutch?

So only lighter pull at idle with high vacuum.

PK
Any time the throttle is closed vacuum is strong.

I had installed the clutch assist kit today, what a difference!!!

This is what you get in the kit, two hoses, two valves, and few hose lockers.

Can't understand why this isn't a standard system on our F3 SM6?

Without the system the lever is a super hard pull, even harder than my MT01 1700cc.

With the clutch assist kit, the pull becomes a 600cc sport bike, very happy with it.

But I still miss my KTM 690's clutch lever with its super light pull!

Thanks for Bruce B's help!!!
There isn't a harness for the solenoid to plug into, or is there an existing connector in the original harness?

You do realise that you're reviving a thread last posted in a couple of years ago now; and that those posts you quoted are from about 8 years ago, don't you?? And that the Original Poster of that last post you quoted hasn't been seen on the Forum since late 2019... 😕

Not that a bit of thread archaeology is a bad thing per se, especially if it helps keep all the related info in the same thread, but I wouldn't be holding your breath for an answer from those particular posters.

Thanks Peter,
I'll start a new thread if that's what you'd prefer.

No, the first para of my post was simply asking if you realised it was an old thread and pointing out the dates on the posts you'd quoted; besides, we generally WOULDN'T prefer you to open yet another thread on the same thing/asking the same or even a closely related question... That will just makes it even more difficult than it already is for anyone/everyone to search thru and find any existing info &/or answers on a given subject and makes it far more likely that any one thread will only ever have a small part of the discussion, knowledge, &/or solution to whatever question/subject!! 😖

However, as I also did say in that first it's fine when it helps keep all the related info in the same thread, but I wouldn't be holding your breath for an answer from those particular posters. ;)

A semi-related question - is there something to help lessen the pull on the ‘17 SM6 clutch? Believe I saw somewhere that this assist kit is for ‘15 models only. My ‘17 is pretty stiff, and if something is available to help lessen that, I would like to look into it. Thx.

Thanks Peter, that was my thought as well, which is why I continued that thread.
Even though some of the original participants may not be around, perhaps there are others who have either done this mod, or may be thinking about it.
