There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone tried to source '24 Sea to Sky Brown/bronze accent parts?

Has anyone tried to obtain the Brown/Bronze accent pieces of the 24 Sea to Sky?

Slightly long-winded story. I recently bought a Sea to Sky and upon delivery, I noticed that a few of the torx bolt heads around the engine covers were lightly stripped by the tool. Dealer blamed BRP but swapped them out while we did paperwork. Unfortunately, with black screws. If you look at the engine covers of the 24 Sea to Sky, it has Brown/Bronze accents on the top of the cover and the screws on the engine covers. Attached is a photo of mine, which now has mostly black screws.

Notice that one bottom screw, the one they didn't replace, is Bronze and the others Black. A couple others that were less easy to replace stayed Bronze too.

Looking up the parts fiche, it shows the same part number 250001105 for these screws on all RT models. Not showing a difference for the S2S. Even looking at the whole engine cover panel assembly it shows the same part number "LH Central Fairing Ass'y 705017527" for all RT models. The same part is listed for all years from what I can see. Nowhere can I find the parts for the Bronze screws.

I reached out to 2 dealers and BRP directly and none could identify a part number for the '24 S2S part variant.

Has anyone come across this problem when identify other parts? Is the '24 S2S the first one with color accents on the engine covers different from the other RTL's? Does anyone have any suggestions how I might find the Bronze screws to put this back the way it's supposed to be?

Thanks in advance for any insight,
Sean

I would ask the dealer find the correct screws on one of the S2S's they haven't sold yet and swap them onto your Spyder.

Unfortunately no support from the original dealer beyond the original swap with black. BRP support said there wasn’t a different screw available but told me to have a dealer reach out because apparently dealers have additional support within BRP. On online dealer was very helpful and reached out to BRP but they got the same answer from BRP. Seems crazy to me that the S2S colored parts wouldn’t be available outside the factory, but that seems to be what BRP is saying. It’s my first BRP so I wondered if this was normal.

All I can think of, is open a case file with brp. Think that's what its called. BRP is iffy on how much they will help seems like.

Yep. That’s how I got the above answer from BRP. I guess it’s just the way it is. In the scheme of things, it’s not a big deal. Thanks all.

So, what color are you looking for Black? If so I think I have found them at ether a hardware store here local, or my Napa store take one with you, buy a whole set if they don't match to your liking!

I wanted to get the original bronze/brown but seems black is only option and what I’ll have to stick with. I’ll also have to remember that if anything happens to the engine covers that the original S2S ones with the bronze/brown highlights are not available and I’d need to buy both left and right since they only make the default RT model black covers to. But again, first world problem right. :) It’s all good. Thanks all.

Know anyone in the auto painting industry? They could do a paint match and come close, I would think if you have it in your heart that you want it that way!

It’s all good. Black will do. I was just surprised that BRP couldn’t provide the S2S parts so thought I’d reach out to the group to see if I was going crazy or others experienced this with BRP. All good. Thanks again.
