• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Random thought for the day

Someone had this sticker on their rear bumper:

"I am a veterinarian, that is why I drive like an animal !"

It made me think about how many gynecologists there must be on the roads !!!;)

Wouldn’t want to get it dirty before getting it home?

Could be??? :dontknow:

But I reckon it's more likely that the OEM Kenda tires were out of round & the retailer would only replace them with similarly 'out of round' tires, so he's running used shopping cart tires as a safer/less troublesome interim tire until he can get a set of 'real' sack-truck tires! :banghead:

Yep. This is discussed in No-Zone training. Take it anytime you can.

There are three places on the highway you never want to be - behind a semi, alongside a semi, in front of a semi. If you need to pass a semi stay back a safe distance until the coast is clear ahead of the semi and then kick your bike in the ass and get around as fast as you can. Ignore the speed limit if need be. You may irk some drivers behind you when you need to hold back until all is clear ahead, but it's your safety at stake, not theirs.

Have you ever seen some moron pull up on the right side of a tractor trailer while the truck is making a right turn.

Especially during the Sturgis Rally

:banghead: They do it here in Oz - both sides, too! (Only for us, the real worry is on our Left, cos we drive on the correct side of the road & Heavy/long Vehicles hafta pull extra wide to make hard LEFT turns, where there's no 'other side of the road' for the impatient eejits to escape to like there is when they try to overtake when the trucks are turning right! :p )

Many years ago, when I was driving Road Trains up the guts of Oz, I ran over a car that'd tried to sneak up the inside while I was turning Left, despite the numerous Turn Indicator Lights that were later determined to be all working and clearly visible flashing in his face on each of the Three fully loaded Trailers I was hauling... :sour: Luckily, the load axles on the Third trailer only ran over the front of his car; but up the other end, I didn't hear or feel a thing!

Because he was impatient, that driver managed to convert his pretty new Toyota Corolla into a comfy cabin with a front end & motor that'd work well as a door wedge, easily able to slide under most household doors!! :gaah: I shudder to think what would've happened if it'd been a motorcyclist! :yikes:
