There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Quatrac 5 - 155/60R15's no longer available? What size will fit a '20+ Spyder?

Look at the Quatrac (no 5) for replacement. Excellent cold/wet weather tire. The Q5 was asymmetric, the Q is symmetric tread pattern.

Regardless of the tire, if you're talking Spyders & not Rykers, the OE width is 165, and I really don't think you'll want to go as narrow as a 155! :lecturef_smilie:

The Quatrac is a fair amount better than the older (discontinued) Quatrac 5 (which was a great tire). I assume they achieved this by going with a directional tread. Strange naming pattern. But great tires!

Tire Rack has the older Quatrac 5 in 155/60r15 in stock. But I am with Peter. Not sure why you would want that size.

I installed these, 175/55R-15 VREDESTEIN QUATRAC SL, on my 2021 S2S earlier this month and they are working great.

I dont know how many times I have posted that there is no such tire as a QUATRAC SL, Way too much miss information picked up by people here and passed on.

Some possible clarity on the SL.

I just ordered a set of 4 Vredestein tires for my son’s truck. They offer a 3 ply and a 2ply in the same model and size. The three ply is labeled LTS and the two ply doesn’t say SL on the listing but does say SL on the receipt. I looked up SL on Tire Rack’s site and SL stands for “standard load”

There is no such tire as a VREDESTEIN QUATRAC SL, The SL stands for Standard Load and has a max pressure of 35psi, XL's are to 41psi
It is not a tire model

We need to be exact on fitting car tires on our Spyders so that someone doesn't end up with a deadly combination of type or sizes of miss matched tires.

Quatrac ...... "SL"

Thanks to all who helped clear up this bit of confusion ...... None of the Ads for Vredestein tires mentions the "SL" ...... Mike

Ahh, I did not catch that, too narrow! My bad... tks. Getting ready to upgrade OEM fronts, my local shop said he can change them and balance them, he has a 40mm cone for his machine.

The 'SL' on the Quatrac is a Tire Rack designation. It has nothing to do with the manufacturer. In this case, Vredestein. So, everyone is right! There is no such thing as a Quatrac SL. And, at the same time, there is! Not often that everyone is right!

:agree: :bdh:

I can only find 165/60R15 Vrederstein Quatrac; I cannot find a 165/55R15 Vrederstein Quatrac. Will this 60-profile tire fit on a 2021 RT base for the front tire?

Then I assume the 165/60R15 Vrederstein Quatrac will fit a 2020 RT limited?

What's a good rear tire?
