Last year in July I posted my useless Spyder stats along with a great story I experienced on the road . Today marks 1 year I have been on my Spyder and have experienced countless similar stories, too many to share. Figured another snapshot was in order. Spyder is my primary mode of transportation and I ride ALL year.
454 hours on the engine - 18857 miles / 365 days
(41 mph average and 42 miles per day)
Still averaging 31-32 MPG (on original plugs!)
Sidebar - of those miles logged all but about 50 have been in Ohio.
In a year this is the maintenance performed, both warranty and otherwise.
I'll have almost 1000 hours and 40K by the time I run out of warranty this time next year. Already looking forward to trading in on a nice 2012 RS model.

- 5 oil changes (after 600 mile change...averaging every 4-5 k)
- Replace burned out headlight when Spyder started at 4 degrees
- DPS replaced per recall when original threw a code at 4 degrees
- Replaced both oil drain plugs with MP-01 & MP-02
- Replaced EOP switch
- Replaced OEM air filter with performance filter from Evoluzione
- Replaced OEM's with Honda gaskets
- Replaced OEM front tires at 8 k with OEM's
- Replaced OEM back tire at 14k with Kumho Ecsta AST tire.
- Ride-on in all tires (clearly extending life of tires)
- Replaced clutch fluid
