Hi Breaker, Welcome to the Forum!:
Once your Username turns
Blue (like
SpyderBOT's
) you can post up on the more used public pages of the Forum, but until then, as
SpyderBOT mentions in your Welcome post:
Welcome Breaker, .....< snip > ....
Do NOT post support questions here, please post them in the appropriate forum once your account is approved.
because there's not a heap of point in posting those questions here, where very few will actually get to read them, and any answers will be completely lost to anyone searching for the same info at any time in the future...
But while you're waiting, if you've already read thru those links
SpyderBOT's posted above, you could search on '
Aftermarket seats' & check out what others have done by reading thru the results &/or any existing threads - there's quite a few; and you might also want to check thru the open &/or not yet
SOLD Ads in the '
For Sale by Owner' sub-forum.
Any seat from any RT made between 2010 and 2019 should fit your Hubby's 2013 RT - good Spyder/model & year those, IMHO the best of the bunch! See my Sig line below - BTW, it's a very good idea to add that info to your sig line, see this thread on why:
https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums...l-Add-your-Spyder-Year-model-to-your-Sig-Line!
The
Optional Comfort Seat, which does look very similar to the '
Standard OEM Seat' actually allows the Rider
about 2 inches more leg-room by shortening the '
Lumbar Support Hump' that sits between the Pillion Passenger's legs, and you can tell the difference between the
Standard OEM Seat and the
Optional Comfort Seat by measuring that
Lumbar Support Hump - the OEM Seat will have a hump about 8 inches long; on the
Optional Comfort Seat, that hump will
only be about 6 inches long.

hyea: The average Pillion Passenger generally doesn't much notice that 'loss of space', as it's pretty much ahead of them and between their legs, but those Passengers who may be.... errmmm, let's just say 'a bit more rotund' than others,
might notice the Rider being a bit closer to them and intruding back into their space a bit. :dontknow:
Over to you; and once again, welcome to the Forum. Looking forward to seeing you out there on the more frequented public pages of the Forum.
Ps: Aaaannnnd, I notice that while I've been playing around with
this post, your username has turned Blue, so you're good to go! :2thumbs:
