• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone using the updated BRP GO app?

I love it and after trying all kinds of devices and phones in the past, the smartphone integration is great! The BRP Go app has instructions on how to make easy connections. The Go app works better than the Connect app and you can see all the apps in one screen.

Some find it easy, some find it difficult. Using it a lot will allow you to get used to it. I love that I don't have to look away from the road to check the maps or other info. I really love the easy use of the joystick to manipulate things instead of trying to touch the screen which can be tricky while going dow the road. I can add a gas station to the route while moving so much easier than trying to touch a screen.

This vid is about a year old but still useful to show how to make connections and use the system.

I tried to connect my new phone, but it won't connect. Is this because my old phone is still listed? Maybe only one phone will sync? Will I have to remove the old device to connect a new device? Tks

It works great for me. Be sure you have a data cable and not a charging cable. Also your phone has to be paired via Bluetooth or it will not connect.

shardt,

I have the cable that came with the bike( I have a 2023 F3 LTD Special Series) which is in the glove box, I have my phone connected to the BRP Go App, and connected to the bike, ( via bluetooth) I can not use my phone( Tracphone) it uses up too much data on my phone, so I can not use the BRP GO App.

Do you have any suggestions?

The radio stations in Vermont :cus:, plus I can only listen to a certain radio station for so long.

As long as you use Apple Music that has downloaded music you won't use very much data service. Turn off traffic in the GPS app as that uses data service.

Download the music to your phone, or some apps like Spotify you can download the music while on Wi-Fi so you don't use data during playback.

shardt, I'll try that also.

I am thinking I might try the Siriux XM app.

I wish that using BRP GO or Connect wouldn't take away the tachometer.

It’s just a button punch away. You use the button on the back side of the left grip to open BRP Go and punch it again anytime you want to get the main screen which is the volume and Tach.

Can you give me some suggestions on streaming apps?

One of the apps available is Dash Radio. Many use Spotify and there’s Amazon and Pandora. All use cell service to get music and if you find yourself in an area with no service then no music. It’s why I play downloaded music a lot.

I tried the BRP Go app and really wanted to like it but…none of the compatible GPS apps were as easy to use as Apple/Google Maps nor my Garmin. For music from my iPhone, I find the bluetooth connection alone sufficient. Now that I’ve wired up power for my Garmin I doubt I’ll use the BRP Go app again until there’s some must have feature I need or want.

Flamewinger, I have tried Dash Radio, but it uses up all of my data on my phone. Does Amazon and Pandora have free apps?
Can I use a MP 3 player with the BRP Connect?

The only app that doesn’t use data service is Apple Music which uses downloaded music. All other are streaming music.
