• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone using the updated BRP GO app?

I tried the BRP Go app and really wanted to like it but…none of the compatible GPS apps were as easy to use as Apple/Google Maps nor my Garmin. For music from my iPhone, I find the bluetooth connection alone sufficient. Now that I’ve wired up power for my Garmin I doubt I’ll use the BRP Go app again until there’s some must have feature I need or want.

The reason Google Maps and Garmin are easy is because you’ve used them enough and have gotten to used to them. All GPS apps/devices are the same but look different. They work the same.

i have a Sirus XM subscription in my car.

you can get a vehicle AND a phone plan for subscription combined for Sirrus XM. Then you can stream from phone to helmet, BUT you will use data on phone. maybe you need to get unlimited data plan for phone?

Woodaddict,

How much is the vehicle and Phone plan subscription from Sirrus XM?

I have Tracphone phone, I use the Tracphone refill cards. I'll look for a tracphone plan with unlimited data so I can use that.

It’s just a button punch away. You use the button on the back side of the left grip to open BRP Go and punch it again anytime you want to get the main screen which is the volume and Tach.

My point exactly. Why should I have to choose between one or the other? There's no reason why they couldn't display the tach and the speedo together on the left half.

seems like its around $5.99 per month to add Sirrus XM to phone. For me it's great when I'm not in the car, can use it at work, outside, m/c. Its a car / phone plan, just call them up or research the plans on the website. If you don't have a website login you can make one. I never had a trackphone, I think the plan only will work with a smartphone, but talking to any human you'll get an answer

The tracphone is a smart phone. OK.

I'll call Sirrus XM a call and ask them.

Why? Because that’s the way they designed it. Many complain how small the screen is and you want smaller? When riding you shouldn’t be looking at the screen anyways.

Question:

Do I need to get a Data Cable ( USB to Mini) for my Smartphone to listen to the BRP GO App?

If you’re just going to listen to music then no as music and sounds use Bluetooth. For screen icons and the apps yes. Best to always use an approved cable anyways.
