• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Worried about RT suspension upgrade - anyone used GEARS Suspension?

I am riding a 2022 Can-Am RT. I was about to order ELKA Stage 2 products, but I found a new source. It is a Taiwan brand called GEARS. Has anyone used GEARS suspension? The design is also pretty, so I'm worried.

Go with Wilbers, no remote reservoir to worry about.

Pricey yes ($300 more than what you are looking at) but well worth it and they will be shipped pre-tuned specifically for your weight and riding style.

Make sure to call the number listed on the site to order. Since these are made in germany they don't take US CC's on the site so you have to call EPM in NJ in order to give them the info and give them your CC number. 732-786-9777 |[email protected]

I am riding a 2022 Can-Am RT. No complaints with the rear suspension, but the front suspension is very tough. I was about to order ELKA Stage 2 products, but I found a new source. It is a Taiwan brand called GEARS. Has anyone used GEARS suspension? The design is also pretty, so I'm worried.

If you feel the front shocks are " very tough ". ( most here think they are too WEAK ). Spending that kind of money , only to discover the new ones are worse that the Stock ones is going to be very disappointing to say the least. .... Have you considered a Heavy Duty " sway-bar " ???? ..... if you already have one than I wish you good luck finding something that works for you .......JMHO .... Mike

If I may say so, the pictures don't make sense. They show two shock absorbers (and a two shock absorber price) for the REAR of a Spyder. But the rear only has one shock. Certainly you need to clarify this before you spend money.

oh! this! I wrote the article incorrectly. This is the front suspension.

Gears Racing Suspension

The company has been around a long time, since 1997 and they do get used in Asia in motorcycle racing as well as by custom bike builders. Whether this follows over into the Can Am world I don't know.

Their catalog is quite comprehensive and they seem from their technical specifications to have a good idea about what they are doing, definitely not just some cheap E-Bay thing. They are called "Gears Racing".

They have a US organization in La Habra California, (562)690-2598. They appear to be Taiwanese made and not a cheap mainland Chinese option, in fact they are not cheap at all.

Might be worth a call to see what their return policy is and what kind of experience they really have with Spyders.
