Hi everyone. I am doing this on my phone and trying to sort this all out. I have a lot of function/use questions but I keep seeing a message about not asking “support” questions and I don’t know if that is the same as what I wanted to access.
How does this work so I don’t start by doing it wrong.
For example if I wanted to ask how do I charge my Sena systems while The Spyder is off or is that even possible?
Want to get the system here straight. Thx
Hi Sailed, welcome to the Forum.
This section of the Forum is just the '
Welcome' section, where you can get the important links & introduce yourself to the mob while all the processing for your registration goes on, but you'll only be able to post in this section for now. Not too many people visit in here, and because we don't want to get things all confused & muddled up with questions about all sorts of different things mixed in all over the place, there's no real point in asking questions like
that one - not here & not yet, anyway!
Once all your registration processing is completed, your username will change colour to Blue, like
SpyderBOT's, and when that happens, you'll be able to post in the other sections/sub-forums. In the meantime, you can still use the
Search facility to find any existing info about whatever you want to know - there's not too much in the realm of Spyders/Rykers that hasn't been at least touched upon in the 14 or so years the Forum has been live, altho you always should check the date on the Original Post in a thread, as well as the date on the most recent few posts - sometimes thread archaeology to learn about stuff is a good thing, but when it comes to asking questions in old threads, only do that if it's truly adding info to the subject; but just commenting &/or asking questions of people who posted many months or even years back might not be so helpful & isn't encouraged
When that username colour change happens, you'll be able to open the index page for the particular sub-forum that best suits whatever you're asking & start a new thread in there by clicking on the Red '
+ Post New Thread' button on the left above the index listing, but until then, you'll be limited to reading & searching... It shouldn't be too long of a wait for all the registration processing to be completed, generally it's less than a day - unless we can't confirm &/or it's really hard to verify any of the info you entered when you registered... :dontknow:
So hang in there, read the info in the links SpyderBOT gave you, maybe do some searching on your Sena System, and pretty soon your username will turn Blue so you can post elsewhere. If you ever have any difficulties, concerns, or questions about the Forum or how to do something, you can always ask me or any of the other Moderators (our usernames are Green) or you can post up in the Forum Support & Testing sub-forum. Here's to seeing you out there & posting in the more frequented sections of the Forum soon!
Ps: Always put your new post text
AFTER whatever you've quoted, it makes it easier for readers to read what you're referring to before getting onto your latest. But you don't necessarily hafta quote every time you post a reply - I only quoted your post so that I could highlight the question bit that was the particular part of your post I was addressing, & if I didn't need to do that, there'd be no need to quote your post at all, so I could've used the
Quick Reply facility, or maybe just quoted
a part of your post (just leave the command delineators at each end of the quote alone, the bits that are in square brackets - you need them & all the square bracketry for the quote to work, even if you don't need & so edit out other parts of the quoted text!) And since there aren't too many posting in here, even without quoting it's still pretty obvious which other poster I'm addressing; but if there were a few other posters in here too, it would help if I identified specifically which one of you all I was addressing by including your username in my text when not quoting.
