• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I had to bring the Spyder home on a flatbed wrecker. Was 18 miles from home. What happened to my Spyder you do not here to much about it. Now on the 1330's it is a different story. The front Sprocket failed. I had bought a new front sprocket last fall and had planned on changing it this Spring. I just did not plan on it this week. My sprocket showed no signs of red dust at all. Ant way the splines on sprocket are stripped. Tomorrow I am going to remove old sprocket and put on the new sprocket. Wish me luck. Bruce

Bruce,

Good Luck!

Inspect the output shaft splines closely. If they are damaged, the new sprocket may not hold up well.

Sorry to hear this .... I see you have high miles But SpyderJockey has way more ( on His 08 ) and no sprocket issue that He has mentioned. ..... This issue didn't appear before the 15 F-3's attained some higher mileages. I'm surprised you had the problem ( with NO Red Dust ? ) ..... good luck Bruce .... Mike

By any chance are you one of those guys that wash your bike from head to toe and may have washed the rust off there before it had a chance to build up? Good luck Bruce!!

On my 2011 the front sprocket has a counter weight attached. I was able to remove 5 of the 6 bolts, not a big deal I can drill that one out. I was not successful on removing main bolt. I guess I will have to take Spyder to local dealer. I believe it is going to need heat to remove. I will keep you posted. Bruce

I had my Spyder towed to my local Service dept. They got me right in and they was able to remove the bolt. Spyder is now fixed. Pictures to follow in a day or two. Total cost including towing was $275.00 for towing and $90.00 for repair, total $$365.00. Bruce

Here are the pictures of my old front sprocket... Bruce
