We continue to be about 10 degrees below normal here in the desert S.W. It's currently 44 degrees and heading for a high of 48. The overnight low will be near freezing. We've had freeze warnings in effect for the last few nights. The sky's are partly cloudy/sunny. There is a sleight breeze of 5 to 8 MPH that makes us old desert dwellers cold! Stay safe..... Jim

Roller coaster weather again. Tomorrow, 6 to 12 inches of snow is moving into our area. For us, that is a lot of snow at one time. Hopefully, the other part of the roller coaster will happen and it will melt off in a couple of days. :gaah:

Snow Showers

:ohyea:....Well hopefully all you Sledding people will report that you have more snow than you need. Indiana weather has been good all season long. We currently have some snow on the ground, about an inch or less. Not much to offer the Sled People. This third wave is coming for the northern part of the country. We will have rain showers here and maybe a little snow late tonight.

Enjoy your weekend and stay warm.

HI Little Blue,
( Off topic I am a snowmobler, and we still need more snow because the trails in VT. only have a base, and there are a lot of water holes on the trails. Some of the trails are starting to open up even the calendar says mid winter, and the grooming fleet has been out doing there magic on/with the trails. The trail conditions are not the best they are advising that us snowblower's to use caution on the trails as the trails have lots of mud, water, ice, exposed hazards, lack of snow on the trails( like rocks, trees across the trails, water holes,). We need additional snow, and cold for the conditions to improve( I went out on the trails yesterday, at some point my sled almost over heated, due to the trail conditions). This week we will be getting the colder weather and more snow which will help the trails).

Back on topic, It is snowing now here in Vt. temps in the 30's, cloudy.

.

Did I say it's snowing-- AGAIN------ Local ski resort has gotten about 340" of snow this year and has a 7 to 10 foot base. The drought inflicted reservoirs in Cal and Nevada are recovering rapidly. ( can't speak for Lake Mead in southern Nevada)

The roller coaster weather continues. Today, started in low 40's. The snow has melted off from the other day. The weight of the wet snow broke a lot of tree branches and put power out for about 27,000 people in Arkansas. Supposed to be 18 above tonight. Highs for the next week into the mid 30's. No snow forecast. 50's in a week or so.

Snow Troubles

:coffee:...Well I was hopeful that you Sledding Friends would have a Great Sledding Weekend.
I don't have any Snow to send you.

The weekend weather here was a little rain and no snow showers. Hopefully February will be the super snow month. That's the best I can offer.
Currently we have cloudy skies and 29F. This morning we may have some snow showers and freezing rain. The worker bees will have a terrible problem with driving to work this morning. I love being retired and staying warm and safe in my home.

High today of 30°F with some rain showers in the morning. Low of 12°F.
Enjoy your Day and Stay Safe.
