• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Frustration - TriAxis install '16 RTL

When we were getting frustrated, working on a piece of farm equipment, a former boss would say "Some engineer got a bonus for designing it that way."
Well if I ever meet that engineer . . .
:banghead:
Especially removing that plastic ring around the ignition.
:gaah:
Thanks to the gentleman that did the three videos as they are a great help, although it's the first videos I set to a slower speed.
:2thumbs:
Glad I have a few months to get things done and don't have to hurry. (and risk breaking things)

sorry, I haven't worked on that area ..... however find the Parts FICHE' that shows how it's put together, and that may help ...... good luck .... Mike

I was able to find a couple bolts, unseen but got a socket on them. Recovered one from the floor and the other disapperaed into the innards somewhere. Can't get a socket on the other two yet..

Trying to disconnect GPS but cannot find a disconnect anywhere.
Traced the cable marked in red. Ignore other wire terminal marked as red as it was one of two I marked red or blue.

pictures didn't load in the order posted and one turned sideways. picture # in viewer is the order.

What looks like a terminal in pic # 2 doesn't seem to be a disconnect and I'm reluctant to pull any harder on it.

Yes that's it. I did about the same as you did.
I hate those hidden bolts that can't be seen and not mentioned in any instructions or videos.
I finally found the GPS connecter behind the gas tank.
I'm at the install point now and since I bought the bars second-hand, (on this forum),
I'm going to have to pick up some bolts but that's not hard to do.
I get easily frustrated and just do a little at a time as my riding season isn't until late April-early May.
