:gaah:...My local area weather people are saying rain and snow showers are on the way. Off and on all day rain, then this evening the rain will turn to freezing rain. I don't like that at all. Sometime tonight it will start snowing and leave
us with 3" - 6" of Snow. I am hopping for 3" or less on the 'white stuff'. Currently here it's 35°F with clouds.

High today only 38°F with rain showers. Low of -7°F.
Bundle up and try and stay warm.

Stay Healthy. ....

PS: Only 3 Days till Christmas. .....

Today is the start of the Winter Season in Indiana.

Posted Dec 22 @ 4:56 AM:
The current temperature at NWS Amarillo (TX) is zero degrees with north winds gusting to 45-50 mph.
That's makes our wind chill right now somewhere between 25 to 30 below zero.

I think I will stay in and nap with the Yorkie today. :doorag:

Well, it looks like we're finally gonna get some proper summer, only about 23 days late!!

We're expecting sunny & clear weather in the Low/Mid 30's (degrees C) for the next few days, still Low/Mid 30's for Christmas Day, then temps in the High 30's up to the Mid 40's C for maybe a week from the 26th of Dec! :ohyea:

But as the Weather bods so much like to do, all that comes with a caveat - they reckon there'll be an increasing chance of rain & high humidity from the 28th, and are telling us to expect it to be wet with temps back down into the high 20's C for a bit from about the 30th.... altho over in WA they are currently getting Mid/High 40's right now AND there's a couple of pretty large tropical storms brewing off their Northern Coast (& possibly a Cyclone for Christmas/New Year?? :dontknow: ) So despite what the forecasters say, if that lot follows the 'normal weather patterns' for this time of year & blows across our way in about a week/10 days, then we'll either be bloody HOT for the beginning of the New Year or just stinking hot & muggy.... But we still should have good weather for Christmas!

Would you like to trade? We could send you our "bomb cyclone." The temp has dropped 20 degrees in the last two hours. It is now zero. With expected windchills, we should have feels like -21 below zero.

Yeah, No Thanks!! :sour:

I'm looking forward to getting in some warm & dry Spyder Ryding, maybe even getting Buster the Assistance Dog some saddle time too?! He's almost a year old & hasn't ridden a thousand kms yet! It's been too cold & wet for a newbie Dog to learn to ryde!! :lecturef_smilie:

We've been cold & wet for so long that the webbing between my toes & fingers is getting a bit stretched & worn.... what with all flooding & rain, and the paddling around we've been doing, it hasn't had a chance to dry out & recover!

Friday 12/23/22

:yikes:..Today is the coldest day of my winter season in Indiana, currently -10°F.
The wind chill makes it feel like -35°F.
Bring on the 'John Wayne' movies. Everyone try and stay warm and safe. Check on your neighbors and family.

A very Merry Christmas to all. Just 2 more days.

Today is a terrible weather day, 1°F for the high.
Low at -2°F. Going to be a lot of wind chill going out there too.

Stay Healthy. ....

Remember that Spring is only 90 days and counting. ....

Driving home last night from Provo the temp was 12° and cloudy gray skies. Very cold here and gray skies, lots of snow on the ground.

We dodged the bullet of ice and snow. Got a very little, but it did not mess the roads up or anything like that. One county to the east...not so lucky.

Got up this AM to 0 degrees. Up to five above and headed for ten today.

Just got my power back ... it was out for 5 hrs. .... but the outside temp was at 45 F. ..... later this afternoon it will be dropping into the low single numbers .... with snow ..... so the heavy rain we are having won't prevent A White Christmas :clap::clap::2excited:..... Have a Merry Christmas ..... Mike

Rain at 5am this morning, snow at 6am.
90 to 100 kph winds.
100 car pile-up on the superslab just West of here.
Shoveled three times by noon.
Whoever that fool is that keeps singing about wanting a white Christmas, can stop now.:cus:
LOL
Everyone stay safe and warm
"Merry Christmas"

Took a ryde yesterday. Was 76*F, clear and calm. Snapped a pic by a canola field about 2 miles from my house. Textbook south Texas weather. Then ... the front blew through about 8:30pm. Woke up this morning to 27*F air temps with winds 25mph, gusts to 35mph. Only up to 30*F at 1:10pm local. This is NOT what we signed up for down here!

Weekend Weather 12/24 - 12/25

:chat:...Welcome to the wonderful Holiday weekend.
A very beautiful Merry Christmas to everyone.
Indiana has been hit with about 1" of Snow and very cold temperatures for the next few days. Currently 0°F and windy.

Today we will have 14°F with some sun. Low of 2°F.
Sunday's high 15°F with some sunshine, low of 7°F.
Remember those that need some help and help out your neighbors. Let's keep everyone Safe.

Stay Healthy. ....

For us, the storm has passed and the warmup begins. Twenty above...headed for twenty-four or so. Continued warmup Sun, Mon, thru Wed. Supposed to hit the mid fifties then. Blue skies and sunny at the moment.

Currently 53 here in the desert S.W. We're headed for a high of 69 today. The wind is calm and there are no clouds. For Christmas we will have a high of 72 and sunshine. It's too cold for us locals to hang out at our community pool. But the Holiday visitors are sure enjoying the sunshine and the pool.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas. And warm thoughts being sent to those of you who are in the grips of the cold spell. Stay warm and safe..... Jim

Monday 12/26/22

:coffee:...Welcome back from the Weekend. I had a great time visiting with friends and family. It is always nice to see and hear from them. Indiana has been very cold for awhile and it was hard to get out there and enjoy some outdoor activities. We did the best we could and tried not to worry about the rest. Currently 17°F with a lite dusting of snow.
We have some snow on the ground but nothing on the driveway. ........:ohyea:

Today will be mostly cloudy, 24°F for the high. May have some snow showers this morning. Low of 17°F.
Bundle up and stay warm. Remember to check on the neighbors and family. Enjoy your Day and Stay Safe.

Stay Healthy. ....

Only 6 more days of the year 2022. ......:spyder:

41 today. .......

SNAP! :2thumbs:

Here in the Adelaide Hills on the other side of the World from you, we're expecting 41 today as well! Only OUR 41 will be in Degrees C....

Still, either way, it sounds like we'll have some reasonable ryding weather - only we don't hafta worry about any of the roads maybe having been salted in the recent past.... Flooded maybe, but not salted! :p And thinking back to my last winter visit to the Pacific NW, the odd pothole or patch of crumbling asphalt due to flood damage should be a bit easier to avoid than salt that's been spread all over the road!! :yikes:

I hope you enjoy your Spyder Ryding as much as I'm gonna enjoy mine! :ohyea:

Hot is Not for me

SNAP! :2thumbs:

Here in the Adelaide Hills on the other side of the World from you, we're expecting 41 today as well! Only OUR 41 will be in Degrees C....

.....

So I checked my F° to C°. Oh man that is very very warm to me.
41°C equaled 105.8°F. .......:gaah:

Just curious what you do when it's so hot.
Is this a dry heat? Is this a seasonal thing or something else?

Stay Healthy. ....

Currently 23°F here in Indiana, USA.
Just checked and 23°F equaled -5°C.
