What does the windshield bracket bolt onto? Will it hold a GPS?

Does anyone know what the bracket bolts to. I am wondering if it would be secure enough to attach a bracket to the base to be used to hold a GPS. I would like to get my GPS up higher without mounting it on the bars.

It's attached to the windshield Motor .... The windshield and bracket both shake a little, so whatever is attached that will shake also ..... good luck .... Mike :thumbup:

I have a 2019 RTL and have my XT high mounted at the edge of the dash using Ram Mounts and one of these brackets. However, I don't know if the cross bracket will work on 20 and up rigs.

I mount mine on a RAM mount, middle of handlebars. Very solid there, and can easily be adjusted out of the way of the instruments.
