• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Got another e-mail from the Mother Ship.

It said my "new" Spyder awaits. Pre-order now.

I looked at the questions:

Two, I found interesting:

Will ordering early help? No guarantees. Ordering early will put your name in the queue. There is a deposit required once the dealer contacts us.

Will I get a new Spyder? No guarantees. Due to high demand in some areas, people are putting in orders for the next model year (2024 ????) already.

Personally, if I were in the market...I would be putting my buying plans on hold for a couple years. I do not see a bright future for the product. And I do HOPE THAT I AM WRONG.

That is the type of email that you would be looking for from a scammer. Not good at all.

Sounds to me like BRP is not placing a very high priority manufacturing and/or selling Spyders. They want to take orders & deposits with no promise of delivery time or even that the bike will be made. Piss-poor way of doing business in my opinion..... Jim

:agree: that's what I was referring to the email being like a scam.

They are afraid the supply shortages and inflation are going to kill off sales in the future.

They are trying to conduct a secret poll to attempt to determine how many units to schedule.

I wonder..... Is BRP doing this for their other products too? Or is this just a Spyder thing. Supply shortages and inflation affect all products equally. If BRP is doing this just for Spyders than I think they are showing their lack of interest/focus on the Spyder market. I don't know the answers. I have had other BRP products and never run into anything like this..... Jim

Uumm if my new Spyder ''AWAITS'' surely I could have it now.:duh:
Supply chains are screwed, economy is imploding, money is becoming worthless yet they persist with marketing babble.:duh::duh:

E-Mail

:chat:...This is very interesting about the E-Mail. I have NOT received anything on this. But as always 'Buyer Beware' moving forward with this deal.

This may not be the real deal. I will wait and see what happens next.

Stay Healthy. ....
