• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Buying from the Mother Ship Can-Am BRP

Received a call from BRP this morning. Dealer who sent me the wrong part has received the returned package. Meanwhile they had ordered the correct part (saddlebags) from BRP warehouse, and dealer is shipping to me today. In speaking with BRP it appears that dealers fulfill the orders from BRP on-line. Most of the market for BRP on road is in Ontario and Quebec, and those dealers are most often the one's that respond to orders. If the dealer does not have it, they then deal with BRP directly. BRP has warehouses both in Canada and the US. I advised that some folks are awaiting for parts, like the passenger seat for the F3 and she advised that they are well aware of it.

I find this funny that they are aware of it but yet when I visited the dealer 2 weeks ago here in Northern Virginia there were stacks of crates on the lot with new spyders and rykers in them and when you go in the showroom...there is an F3 with a passenger seat on it. So my wife hopped up on it so we could see what it would be like if both of us could ride together finally. I am just so underwhelmed with BRP customer relations at this point. They sure like to get you on the hook and once you are on they just leave you hanging.

My Shad saddlebags arrived today. They were shipped from the dealer in Quebec who previously shipped the saddlebag mounts. The bags arrived earlier than I expected.
