• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Spyder has a New Skin.

I've never been a fan of graphics kits and thought they all sort of looked the same-- kind of lame and weak style-wise in fact, but THAT'S WAY COOL! Love it ! ! ! !

There always has to be someone in the crowd who isn't thrilled by it..sorry...

It is definitely complex/intricate and unique...IMHO, the Spyder gets enough attention on its own and there are very few in my area anyway.

The great thing about a paint mod. is that it really doesn't matter who likes it, as long as you do...this design obviously took some time and deliberation to create and you should enjoy....good thing is that in the future, if you decide you want something different, you can always do it again.

I like your front rims though...sweet look...I'm a hindle lover as well! Try Evan's handlebar risers for more comfort and less vibration...they're a great mod...

Really nice. I have a package from them but I haven’t put it on yet. Was it really hard to put on?

You definitely need to take your time and watch the tips video on his web site. You can plan on a minimum of about 3 hours or so. It is sort of like putting on window tint, but with a whole lot more angles and pieces. As I stated in an earlier post, there are some bubbles in it and a few creases that may not be there if we went a little slower and worked it out more with the squeegee. Having sunlight available would be a big help as well, most of this was done utilizing a set of portable work lights.

Not a problem at all, and I also understand your point completely.

I wanted something a little different, there is already a 08 yellow Spyder in the small town we are by that is ridden by a nice 76 year old gentleman. Now the elderly folks will no longer be waving at me thinking it is him. ;)

I also had a very hard time committing to the custom paint idea, as you stated once it is there it is done and I can change this out later if I want. I already have assurances that it does not harm the tupperware while on.

My wife's Spyder is set up with the CHAD whindshield, Evan's handlebar risers, the highway pegs, and mirror extensions. It is comfortable, but I wanted to keep mine more sporty looking. :)

Thanks for the comments everyone! :2thumbs:

Great look

:congrats:
Cool looking Spyder!:2thumbs:
Maybe I'll see it next time you are in the lowcountry. Let me know if you and your plan a ryde this way:doorag:

We actually need to go back to Hilton Head Motorsports to get my wife's 'S' button installed. We are planning on heading there this Friday, are you going to be off work then?

The Transformation is Complete

The last little piece of the puzzle I had been awaiting finally showed up in the mail today. I was able to get it applied to the Spyder before it got dark, and am very happy with it.

This allowed me to remove the yellow vinyl decal from between the headlights and, in my humble opinion, gives the Spyder a much cleaner look.

Awesome! Amazing how it changes the whole look. Really accents the uprake on the tail. I like it a lot!

Good Job!

Bottom line...it's a great ride...enjoy it! It snowed 4 inches here in MD today, so no riding...just last week, it was 70 degrees....geeeez....

I enjoy every single minute I get to spend on it! :2thumbs: Sorry about the bad weather you are having. It is a little colder here than normal, but we are still planning on going on the toy run tomorrow. After the video Lamont posted I would feel like a chump if we backed out. ;)

FANTASTIC!! Peter does great work! I'm considering a change of color and addition of graphics from Peter once he has the Corbin saddlebag templates done. :2thumbs:

Beautifully done - congratulations! I've been to that website, for those lovely graphics kits. Going quietly nuts, trying to decide which to put on my '09 yellow Spyder...sigh...:f_spider:

Thanks everyone. :)

:agree:

He is extremely busy right now, working countless hours without sleep, trying to get out all of the snowboard designs and such before Christmas. We have been in contact with him about doing something "different" for my wife's red Spyder, but need to wait until after the holidays when there is a little lull in the action. He is a great guy to deal with as well.

NICE!

Very nice! I noticed you had your seat back support yellow, is that powder coat or paint? Now that I see yours I am interested in doing that as well. I know, always a copy cat.:roflblack:

Thanks! That is actually the BRP Sport Rack and Passenger Back Rest. You can buy it color coded to match your Spyder.

Peter is fantastic to work with, He went down to the dealer the next day after we talked and did the templates for the rest of the panels I wanted and did custom fender-wraps for the fenders. The normal kit is 25 pieces and mine was 44. I paid around 380 for it plus express shipping. From the time we first spoke to when I got the kit was two weeks. I wanted to get it on before I went to TRI riders rally in Branson last year.
