• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Yuasa OE Spec Batteries out of stock - What's my best alternative?

The battery in my RT is showing signs of failing and I need to get one before I leave for Deadwood on July 7. But EVERYONE seems to be out of stock for the Yuasa YTX24HL. What's my best alternative? Anyone have decent experience with PowerStar batteries? How about from Interstate Batteries? I'm having trouble finding a part # for the Interstate one.

This one might fit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08V5G4Y2...9Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

Interstate doesn't list a powersports battery that is compatible https://www.interstatebatteries.com/product-search-results/motorcyclescooter-2014-can-am-spyder-1330

Amazon, Revzilla, Cycle Gear, among others are all out of stock for the Yuasa YTX24. Amazon has replacement brands which is why I'm wondering if any of them are decent performers. They have other Yuasa batteries, just not the YTX24HL. The two local area dealers don't have them either. Maybe BRP is buying them all from Yuasa!

And forgot to mention the Extreme battery had a 1 year warranty. Every one else was only 30/90 days. Plus there the other batteries AH were less than 350. Ex: Die Hard

They don't seem to have one the correct size which is Group 24L.

Well, scratch that comment! :banghead:

After doing more looking I find that Group 24 batteries are larger than the Spyder battery. So what does the 24HL mean? As of now I don't know, other than the H is for High Performance and the L means the negative post is on the left when you face the terminal side of the battery.

After MORE looking I see the ETX18L is the correct size. No wonder it's so hard to find the right size replacement. Numbers are all over the place!

A few weeks ago, my battery died when I stopped for gas, and my jump pack didn't help. So I picked up a Super Start battery from O'Reilly Auto. So far, so good....

Also Batteries Plus: Duracell
DURAGM-18L-US. 330CCA. Fits w/o the battery bracket on top, lasted 3years & just recently took a dive. Possibly from poor charging while couple (months) long service waits & down time. Lucked out & found a Yuasa replacement locally.
