I am not ready to do an oil change yet but i did have the plastic off thre right side. I just tried to remove the brake reservoir so to access the oil filter. It did not want to raise off the bracket. I didn't want to pull hard on it, because I didn't want to break something. Does it lift up or pull out?

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 14 RT , but it has the same engine as yours ...... I don't go anywhere near the BRAKE reservoir .... Are you sure you are in the right area ????? ................Mike :thumbup:.... I went over to cheapcycleparts.com and looked at the Fiche' for the oil, filter , & reservoir..... This looks EXACTLY like mine .... the OIL filter etc. is on the right side under the mirror.... that very large panel and smaller insulation cover must be re-moved to access the filter .... there are vid's of how to do an oil change on the 1330 engine .... Look behind the reservoir and you will see a small plastic tube. Take some needle nose pliers and pull it out. It serves to lock the reservoir to the bracket. I like to cut a piece of 1/4" tubing that is a few inches longer, cut the end slightly pointed, that way the next time you can just pull directly on the tubing to remove it. The slightly pointed end makes it easier to get back into place.
Mike, on the 2020 + RT's its right in front of the oil filter.
BTW, once you do it one time its a cake walk.

True Mike, but he asked about a 2021 in his subject line. And the reservoir has to be moved to access the oil filter on that year spyder.

Removing the little tube was a PITA. It's barley visible. I can see ZERO reason to put it back in as the reservoir hangs nice and snug without it

I agree with this post. I left mine out but kept it just in case. I will keep a check on it until I'm satisfied that it will stay put without it.

I was able to change my filter without removing the brake reservoir. I had no choice because I couldnt figure out how to move it, even after watching videos.

It is a little hard to see if you aren't sure what you're looking for. It's kinda hard to get too also but, it's behind the reservoir towards the top and right up against it. It looks like a black piece of round metal or something.
That's what I'm trying to do but not for filter clearance but rather to aid in getting to the connections on the master cylinder. I'll try to find the 'tubing' that holds the dang thing in place.
Off the subject but it looks like somehow you missed North Dakota! You should come out to NM and ride the western states with me; I'm not going east but need the same western ones you do plus NV!
