There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2016 RT rear fender repair?

Hi all has anyone ever repaired their rear fender. I noticed mine is cracked and the only thing I can think of is I just installed the batwing mud flap on my BRP hitch. I think the fender might have hit it but I’m not sure. Anywho I want to fix the crack and I’m reaching out to see if anyone has done this project before. Thanks much, Michrick

We had a small crack in the fender on the 2014 RT. I fixed it with black duct tape. Traded it off that way with disclosure, no issues.

Ouch! I had a friend whose hitch mud flap hit it on a rough railroad track crossing. His crack was bad enough that he replaced the fender, PN 708302277, $184.99 from Cheap Cycle Parts. Don't know if one could repair with a separate piece of plastic from inside the fender without having it look like a shade tree job unless it was minor like ARtraveler's was.

I had the same issue, so I used a Dremel tool and cut down the rear fender above where it cracked.

I Michrick !
I repaired a crack on the cover that was removed for the oil change, I made a piece of ABS the same shape where the crack is and with epoxy for ABS I glued, and everything is fine solid.

Thanks all for some advice. This will be a winter project so I can pull it off. If it last that long. I may look into a color match rear bumper from Can Am Spyder Accessories?

I had that piece of plastic on the top of the hitch and yes it does hit the fender. So that got removed replaced the fender and installed a mud flap.

Can you clamp it so the the crack is forced together?

If you can, simply clean out the surfaces of the crack, wet them with acetone, then apply ABS cement (available in the plumbing dept of any hardware store) to the crack and clamp it. Give it at least a day to set, remove the clamps, and carefully sand it smooth.

Yeah I will replace mine over the NY winter but for now I will try some tape on the rear inside of bumper. When I saw that crack I was PO’d but you live and learn I guess. The hard way.

Yes Thanks I’m searching now to find the best price on that rear fender. Looks to be about $185 I use to have a Victory and remember how they started to discontinue items so I’m going to get one now. I’ve also reached out to Pierre on the color match rear bumper. It looks like there’s a core charge and you need to send him yours but being broke I’m sure that’s not possible.
Thanks again

Might try some ABS repair stuff with mesh or try to weld it as a test project, all from the back side so it’s not so noticeable. Worse case I buy a new one like I plan to

Its not to bad to remove the fender. I thought about repairing mine but dont have the time or patience to find out it works or looks like crap..
