• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Speakers Crackling...loud at times

Ok, so the other day I had the question about washing my Spyder which I finally did last night. I also installed a Pedal Commander. I did that first then washed it. After washing, started it up, backed it into the garage where it sat until 7:15 this morning. I got on it, started it up and prepared to leave the house. I heard a crackling sound coming from the speaker on the right side (bottom speaker). I thought I was hearing things because I use a bluetooth headset and never use the external speakers. Rode to work with it crackling on and off loudly the whole time. Two differences from yesterday afternoon. Pedal Commander and washing it. Thoughts?

It's not likely the " pedal commander " has anything to do with this ..... however the way you wash your Spyder may have an effect ..... speakers can be damaged from the impact of water " with pressure " ... also pressurized water can get into area's that are normally sealed from water ..... since it appears to be only one speaker, it could be the source of this issue .... good luck .... I hope that isn't the case. I didn't use a pressure washer, just a hose and was gentle on the dash. They are putting in a water line down the road from us and I had to go that way the other night and the dust was insane. That is why I washed it. Good Lord, if it isn't one thing, it's another. I should have kept the Honda. It gave my zero trouble.

Even the normal pressure from home system ( ie your well pressure or city pressure ) is going to be sufficient to cause an issue. ... The Grand Canyon was caused by ONLY water flowing over the ground ..... I would leave the Spyder in the Sun and hope that will fix it ..... good luck ... Mike
