What is the proper tire pressure for my 2014 RT LTd? I have been putting in 18 in the front and 28 in the rear, they are kenda tires. Thanks

And by the way, merry Christmas to all members and all the best in the new year. Let’s all pray for a better one .

That's what Can-Am recommends, to date no one here has come up with a better PSI. Auto tires are quite different .... that's why a lot of folks make the switch after their Kenda's wear out ( the rear tire much quicker than the fronts ) ....good luck .... Mike :thumbup:PS, I'm sure No one has gone back to a Kenda after using an Auto tire. At least I've haven't read of anyone ......

Thanks mike, I agree I will be converting over to the car tire next time. I see all your post and think you know what your talking about so when I do switch I will approach you for a good brand name to look for.

Thanks .... Myself and Peter Aawen have had actual training from professionals. In my former life ( as an LEO ) I was an advanced Accident Investigation specialist. I spent many months in school learning What and How to determine what precipitated a vehicle incident. A lot involved tires...Peter and I try to educate others here about what works and or doesn't. Spyders are somewhat unique in their tire requirements, IMHO Kenda's have the worst Quality control of any Tire Manufacturer ... Their Defect rate is un-believably high. good luck .... This pigheaded Dutch selfdeclared tirepressure-specialist would like to know what kind of tires are used for Spider?

Motor- tires mayby?

For radial car-tires I am able to calculate a safe highest pressure, with still acceptable comfort and gripp. But also for motor-tires this calculation will do.

Need tire specifications, and weights on wheels. Determining that last is the most tricky part in it all.

No one is going to be able to calculate what is Acceptable to You ..... I can suggest what PSI has already been calculated for Spyders using Radial Auto tires.... 16-17 front & 17-18 rear, the lower number is for normal riding and the upper for more aggressive riding. If you are carrying a passenger ( even 200 + lbs. ) it would only be + 1/4 to 1/2lb.. to remain equal .... remember these are COLD pressures, they will rise about 3 lbs. after riding a short while. So what seems to be too low a psi, isn't really. Auto tires are designed to be used by vehicles that weigh 3 times as much as most Spyders. The lower psi's recommended adjusts for that difference. Hope this info is of value to your PSI decisions. ..... Mike ......for me and Peter Aawen it's all about the science. what you FEEL can be deceiving .....

Currently ( imho ) the best tire for any Spyder is the Vredestein Q-5 which is made in the Netherlands. ..... getting them should be no problems for you ..... Mike

Vredestein.gave me end 2007 the official calculation , for pressure for a certain load on tire, wich I went running with.
Also later I got usefull info of them, theyvwhere th only tirebrand that answered my questions.

But I dont own a Spyder, dont even know what kind of vehicle it is. Think 3 wheeler, and the OEM tires are motortires, but help me out of the dream.

Still can be usefull to let me calculate.
