• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ECO mode & adjustable rear suspension

I personally don't like ECO mode and don't ever use it. I bought the Spyder to have fun on, not lug it around in the bottom of the rev range. The stage 1 ECU upgrade brings a smile to my face---- ECO NEVER does.

Doc, did you ever get your air ride figured out?? There was a few people that got there new bikes that didn't have the leveling arm hooked up! If your bikes the Limited you should be feeling some thing, it's got to be running and in gear! One the left side back where the swing arm go's back to the rear axle there should be a small heim joint hanging down and attached to the swing arm up to a control box. That controls the ride height and kicks the compressor in to gear! Good luck!!

Only when the vehicle speed and
acceleration has stabilized for a certain time
and the ECM judges there is enough engine
torque available in the next gear to keep the
same speed and torque request will the up
shift indicator come on.
- 1st to 2nd speed: 1800 RPM
- 2nd to 3rd speed: 1950 RPM
- 3rd and higher: 2200 RPM

Thanks for the good numbers!

I'll crunch the numbers when we get home.
OK, we're home.

On our last trip, we did about 1550 miles going around Lake Michigan. Some highway, mostly 2-lane, nothing overly "enthusiastic". Fuel average was 36.12 MPG.

This trip was 1100 miles going down to Maggie Valley. Again, some highway, mostly 2-lane. There were twisties, but all three wheels stayed on the ground, still nothing "enthusiastic". ECO mode was on, except for 15-20 miles when it was accidentally bumped off. Speed was maintained in the mountains. Fuel average was 36.90 MPG.

Does ECO make a difference? :dontknow:
Evidently not enough to make that much of a difference. I showed these numbers to my wife. She asked if we were going to keep ECO on. I said I did not see any reason to, she replied "Good". She found the flashing arrow a bit annoying, and since there was no real benefit, ECO mode is hereby relegated to the "Unused features" bin.

I routinely get 39 to 41 MPG with NO ECO and a Stage 1 ECU upgrade that get used regularly.

I use it on my 14 RTS . I drive conservatively and never look at the shift arrows -just shift when I want...I'm just cheap and hopefully it saves a bit of gas.
