• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Seeking pricing info about B.E.S.T.

Hi everyone,

I'm about to pull the trigger on a pair of '09 SE5s, and I wanted to find out about B.E.S.T. or B.E.S.T Plus coverage. I've been told that the price is negotiable, and that the price varies from dealer to dealer. However, I have no idea what the ballpark is for the different forms of coverage.

I'm in NH, and it seems, at this point, that Rte. 3A Motorsports in Chelmsford, MA is going to get my business. Can anyone share what the B.E.S.T plans are costing in this area, and would/could anyone share what their "best" deal on B.E.S.T was?

Thanks,
Keith

BEST pricing

BEST plus is essentially pre-paid regular maintenance...so I did not opt for this. There is lots of latitude in what the dealer charges for the extended warranty. with the extra year as part of last summers BRP promotion I had two dealers (Rte 3a and DeSilva) offer an extra 2 years (for a total of 5) for just $600.

But I think each deal is unique and based upon lots of factors, like clearing out year end inventory, sales volumes, etc. I think anything in the $800-$1000 range for 3 extra years is a good deal. And the extension beyond factory limit is very desirable IMHO.

Dealer's cost on the BEST three-year extension was originally $547. Late last year, the pricing changed such that it's now in the $850-900 range.

There's an incentive to buy it as you buy the bike. The longer you wait, the more it costs... to a degree... like $75 more/year for each additional year maximum.

I have yet to purchase an extended warranty (purchased my Phantom 2 weeks ago)... though I wouldnt want to pay more down the line... the dealer quoted me $1300:hun::dontknow:, for the 3 year extended Best Warranty... and also offered me the $1000 "Western Service Contract Corporation" extended warranty which was 4 years extra coverage, add $100 for roadside assistance... he also added that the Western warranty was easier to deal with as far as getting reimbursed... so I am undecided on which warranty to get because my thought is to get a warranty from the company who makes the bikes...? and who is Western Warranty Service Contract Corporation?
I would appreciate any advice on this cause I don't want to spend too long on deciding which warranty to get cause it would cost me more down the line... :helpsmilie:

thanks

My opinion on the extended warranties is that you have a good chance that the BRP Best warranty will be honored at any Spyder dealership you go to. The other warranty might not be honored at other dealerships.

yup the warranty is transferable, but for a small fee, which is not mentioned on the brochure.... I got quoted $1649 for the Best Plus warranty at Eastbay motorsports in Hayward, CA...

Dayum - so the Best is pretty high huh? I'm better off selling this and getting something else. Talk about high maintenance. Cr@p!

They were great to deal with tried to do this locale a couple of times but the BEST I could do was 1242. plus tax.I have had several warranty issues since I took ownership so I figure there will be a few more Major Mishaps:spyder:

Our warrenty expires in Novermber.

What all does this BEST warrenty cover? Is there anywhere one could read the BEST contract?

Supposed to cover everything that the original warranty covered but for an extra 1, 2 or 3 years. At least that's how it was explained to me.
