• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1330cc Formosa AZ01 tires

I had a set installed on my 2014 today, by Lamonster Garage. I wanted to try something different than the OEM Kendas.

I did notice a bit of road noise...but I do not consider that to be a problem.

Wouldn't that be directional if it was marked inside or outside

Not really, cos if a tire is fitted on the RHS of a vehicle with 'Outside' showing then it'll rotate one way, but it'll be rotating the opposite way if it's fitted on the LHS of the vehicle with 'Outside' showing. :lecturef_smilie:

A truly directional tire doesn't care which side of the vehicle it's on, it still needs to rotate in the direction of the arrows as you drive! So if you want to swap a directional tire from one side of a vehicle to the other, you can't just swap that wheel to the other side, cos it'd be rotating backwards if you did!! You'll need to flip a directional tire on the rim if you want it to rotate the same (correct indicated) way if you've swapped it from one side to the other.

I've had Formoza's on my Spyder for over a year now and I've not noticed any road noise beyond normal. What I did notice is for a cheap Chinese made tire, they work wonderfully on Spyders. Who knew...:2thumbs:

Agreed, but....Hehe.... Tyres are mostly directional to improve grip and they often have a tread pattern of a V type, kinda like a tractor rear tyre so they work well for traction but if they are mounted on the front axle without a driving force the major traction requirement is braking...should they be mounted backwards...hmmm...
