• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New oil change video just posted on YouTube for the Ryker

Stupid questions, what is the easiest way to get hood released? Proper way to remove the right air intake to put in oil? Thanks for posting the video!

Take a look at your manual. There are 2 little tabs in the front of the hood underneath that you pull up and pull the hood straight out. All you have to do to put oil in is turn the tab on the right side where the CVT filter is and there it is.

The video at least shows the drain plugs, but there is a correct order to remove them. Also the manual say's 3.4 qts and not 3.7. Over filing can cause cavitation and let in air. The 2 bolts have torque values, maybe to make sure the crush gaskets set properly. I might change mine tomorrow if the weather is good, and I can stand to stay home for awhile. It is just way to much to fun to ride.

I change my oil last week. It was extremely easy. Refill took exactly one gallon. Checked after a couple of different rides and oil is right at the full mark on the dipstick measured just after shutting off Engine.

was that one gallon on a 600 or 900? Was that one gallon with a new oil filter?

Sooo what is the correct order for the oil change process?

The manual says the 17mm first, if it makes any difference I don't know. I changed my oil yesterday and the bolts were almost loose, Also it did take more than the 3.4 qts than the manual says. But as others have said it is an easy job.Cost me about $35.00 with 5w- 40 oil from Amazon and filter kit from Baja Ron.

What oil brand did you go with?

Amazon has there own brand, don't know who makes it but it meets all the specs and $30 for 6 qts delivered. I used to go brand specific but no point paying more than you need too. I can already hear the grumbling.

oil change kit

Amazon sell a 3 1/2 qt. oil change kit. Not enough oil like RykerUSA and cueman said you need 4 qts.
