I got the new painted dash from Pierre and can’t wait for him to get back from Spyderfest to make a video. So anyone know how to remove the dash? I’ve removed the screws but the display and speakers are attached and not sure how much I can pull on it. Thanks for any ideas.

I can't help you with the display and or speakers. But post a picture once you get your painted dashboard installed.

I painted Dee's dash surround ( post #2 above ) ..... the four bolts that you see hold it on the plastic frame underneath .... the only difficulty is - the gauges have very short wires, so a pair of bent needle nose pliers is a hugh help ...especially for those with large hands ..... Yes,:ohyea: I know the 18's are different, but I think the difference is that the gauges have been re-placed with small speakers....... Mike

Here is a picture of my painted dashboard that Mike( blueknight911) painted:

I know that 2018 dashboards are different.

I hope the above picture helps.

Here is a video of me trying to pop it out and I find the display seems to be part of it unlike the earlier RTs where the LCD display is separate.

Good luck!! Cant tell you about the 18's, but I just took my 12 apart to get to the seat cable out and replaced!!:banghead: I should have listen to you guys and just put the old fish line cable on it, What a pain i the @#$, But SLOW and easy wins the race!!!!

I would look at a Fiche ' like at Cheapcycleparts.com .... I'll see if I can find out why !!! .... Mike :ohyea:

Pry the left out like the right, then press the tabs in. I’ll do one tomorrow and let you know. Joe

Pulled it a bit further and I got a pic of the massive cable plugged into the back of the display. Thinking that if I pull it the cable will allow me to get in with enough room to pop the plug off. Waiting for service tech to call and cptjam to do one. Pierre sold quite a few of these and we will be wanting to install.

Thanks cptjam

Got it off!!!

Talked to Pierre and he explained that he'll be doing a video within a few weeks. In the meantime he explained that once you get the panel lifted out you can get your fingers in either side of the top logo spot and pop the clips that hold the display to the panel in behind and the display will come off. Well . . . I couldnt figure out how to get my tiny fingers in but, looking at the new panel I see the two large clips on the bottom, so I thought what if I pop those? Well they popped off and the display fell away and now I have it out. Must remember the speaker wiring, negative - bottom, positive on top. Hope I can put ti all back together easily.

Dash removal ..:clap: ......... the " terminals " are usually different sizes to fit the speaker connections .... at least on my 2014 RT they were ...... BUT check to make sure First ..... Mike :ohyea:

Yes! Just the same as I found. Glad you got it. Helps to have strong hands: some connections are stubborn!

Nice painted dashboard.

The added pop of color to the dashboard, see my painted dashboard on my posts/or threads.

Has anyone seen the 2018 RT Dash Removal video from Pierre yet? Just doing thorough homework before replacing my dash.
Thanks.

Can't find it so I think he got caught up in rallies and forgot. Basically remove the speakers screen screws and then unplug the speakers. (Use plastic panel tools to pop things apart. They look like small plastic pry bars Harbor Freight) Remove the dash screws and reach up under it and pop the tabs and the LCD falls away and the dash is free. Put the new one in and the LCD should snap into place on its own. Then put everything back the way you took things off.
