• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It seams that at the moment there are no aftermarket performance shocks available for the Rally.
FOX† Performance Series Front & Rear sold via BRP are not fit for Rally.
Could not find info not on FOX nor Elka shocks.
I am looking to improve high speed bad road handling.
Does anybody have some info on aftermarket shocks for Rally?

Quite a few years back, I designed a Bracket Extension that moved the Top of the OEM shock out towards the wheel. This changed the angle of the shock ... the result was the Shock performed better ( the engineers at BRP know the tech aspects of WHY this is so - they did the same thing when they re-designed the "Y" frame in 2013 )…. I haven't had a chance to examine the Ryker frame close -up but I think something similar could be accomplished ….. I designed Brackets for the 08 to 12 frames... then the 13+ frames ( which had to be made different )…….. It really did make a difference to how those Spyders handled.... good luck …. Mike :ohyea:

Well, the Ryker has been out for 4 months or so. It will take a while for the aftermarket to catch up. I would be surprised however if there isn't already a shock out there that will work, at least for the front.

Why is it automatically assumed the stock shock is no good? Just curious.

I have a Rally edition with red sway-bar and aluminum end links. Front shocks at 3rd setting (changed to 4 today, have not tried yet).
Stock shocks are not automatically bad. On a smooth road at settled speeds basic KYBs are fine, but going 45-50 mph and above on a rough and wobbly road (hard pavement) makes handling very unpleasant, unsettling and darting.
In car and atv applications performance shocks have made day vs night difference in ride quality and handling.
I think that Ryker is awesome ride and with proper shocks Ryker Rally will be jam in any road conditions.

Hey Guys, this is Marcus from M2Shocks, we will have our first set installed next week I believe. I will keep you posted on the success, but we should be able to make in the next 30 days, VIDEO of the install and performance will be included.

ALSO, expect price for set (3 shocks) between 1250.00 and 1450.00

How are you adjusting the front shocks on the rally...had no problem butting them on 2, but want to go back to 3 and can't get them to move. Do I need to lift the front end up?

Yes, you need to lift one front side up or lift the whole front. Then it is easy to djust by hands, no tools needed.

Hey Guys, just wanted to share the info on your Ryker Shocks. Just so you know, we really don't offer "stages" as we precisely build and dyno-tune your shocks to work EXACTLY as they need to be. This negates a lot of "high dollar" add-on adjusters and reservoirs that many manufacturers use to over come issues that you would see from "mass producing" shocks that do not have extensive parts Q/A checks and assembly checks/tests.

This was something we actually practiced at a company I formerly worked at for our NASCAR and late model teams. Most teams liked our "less expensive models" because we precisely built them to work and the single adjustments tended to be very accurate and what teams wanted.

Thanks again,
Marcus McBain

Thanks Marcus
One question though. How do you handle the difference in weight between one passenger and two passenger riding?

We found that our spring adjustment placement is really easy to access and use. ALSO, you can use the damping adjustment that is on the bottom of the shock. It is fairly easy to access and use. I made both changes while riding/stop/change/resume riding...so it should be easy for you all.

We have pictures of the shocks on our product page (it has both Spyder and Ryker) https://www.m2shocks.com/canam-spyder-products

Are these going to be available for both the Rally and non models?
