• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What Is A Man?

Don't know about the ad as I don't watch TV but it is an interesting bunch of statistics...and a great viewpoint.

Hi Bob,

Re: The Fella decided to offer a different viewpoint.

If one wants to be defined by numbers, then it might be important him.

While the numbers are interesting; only the first two hit home. I'm a veteran & former firefighter.

Live goes on,

Jerry Baumchen

I'll say this about his Company: they make some really nice-looking timepieces...

(Okay... I'm a sucker for knives & watches...)

I find these videos about manhood offensive. If we must be told by corporations what manhood/masculinity is, then we have truly failed as men. A real man is a provider, protector, husband, father, friend. a real man loves the Lord, his wife and his family. A real man displays self control and is respectful of others. A real man is tough as nails when he needs to be, soft as a flower when he needs to be as well. He is a great advocate for what he believes and a defender of those less fortunate then him. The gillette video is not masculinity or manhood, neither is the other video. Rather manhood is doing the right thing no matter what. We must teach our sons and grand sons to be men and not fall victim to the mindset that "it's not my fault" or "someone made me do it" or "it's not my responsibility". Take responsibility for your actions right or wrong. Chris

Very well said Chris.

What is scary is SJW's are infiltrating large companies. It used to be they where just the local wack jobs on campus. Now they are gaining real power.

I don't really see a problem with either one, and neither is offensive. The Gillette one is call to eliminate bulling and harassment and the Egard one starts of with some traditional male roles/virtues and then moves on to some male-biased problems (homelessness, suicides....)...?

Men are also responsible for 90% of all murders, over 90% of all rapes and 80% of crime overall. Men also commit almost all mass shootings with white men being the predominate perpetrator....

Just keeping things in perspective.....

Amazing how many men got triggered by a TV ad.... #sad

Why does it require belief in a mythical god to be considered a 'real' man? To me, all humans should seek to determine fact from fiction.
"It's called faith because it isn't knowledge" ~ Hitchens

Just a heads up to everyone, let’s not get into a faith debate. Neither of the videos went there. Given there is no real definition of what is a man but a lot of qualities we’d all agree to, but not necessarily to every one, let’s just accept each other’s interpretation without debate.

Well said and necessarily said C.Lee. Presenting men as woosey, non-specific gender beings, or tough disrespectful drop-kicks, has gone on for way too long.

REAL men will agree with him... :D
