Is there a way to un-do access to the joke forum? I went back to my profile and deleted the year of my birth. There was no provision to delete the day and month that I could find. I am interested in just looking at the "whats new" forum and now find it cluttered with jokes. Not what I expected and not what I am interested in. I want to bail out from seeing all the jokes being posted. My profile shows 0000 as my birth year but still has month and day and I am still seeing and able to access all the jokes. Get me outa there..... Jim

There a way, when the two fields drop menu comes down, above the number is a blank listing, set each of those blank.

I did it for you, but letting you know the option is there.

As the site doesnt have one currently, its now been added.

These are the requirements.

1. 18+, please enter your birthday in your profile or the forum will not show up for you.

Add your Birthday using this link --> https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/profile.php?do=editprofile

2. There is a popup requirement as well, that you can agree to, it basically states this type of content wont offend you & you can then enter.

3. Dirty jokes are allowed, so again, do NOT enter the Joke forum if off color or raunchy jokes offend you.

4. Prefixes are required, you can't post a thread in the forum without one.

5. Nudity & flat out Racist Jokes are NOT allowed!

6. Swearing is allowed in the Joke itself, racist words, not so much.

7. Political jokes allowed.

Once you add your birthday to your profile, the Joke Forum will automagically be view able once returning to the main forum page.

You should probably put these rules in that forum and sticky them to the top...….

Wouldn't want you to stay confused.

Not a complaint, just a caution.
If the rules are TOO lax, eventually somebody is going to get offended........and that will likely carry over to the main forums.

Except for that possibility, I don't care 'cause I won't be visiting there.

It does appear that the "issue" is now solved. Last night, the jokes were showing up in the "Whats New" posts and now they are not. Thanks from me to the Admin.

There are a few of us who do not like those types of jokes. My fear was that some grand child exploring the site on grammies computer would click on an R rated post and get an eyefull of the wrong stuff. It appears now that the problem is solved.

Those looking for such material can go to the Joke Forum (which has all kinds of warnings) and enjoy and post whatever (based on the rules).

There is no nudity allowed, no racist content, there will be some swearing in the jokes itself, but the rules are well designed to curb that.

As for the political posts, there will probably be some, but it’s not a forum to have political battles/discussions either, that’s why there are plenty of mods to keep an eye on this particular forum, there will be one more added today, he will be in charge of that forum & off topic, he is a newer member to the site, so he will be a standard forum moderator only, not a super moderator like the others are.

Official Complaint filed...………………….. New rule 8 added today is contradicting rule of rule 7

You can have a political Joke, but discussing politics of a rule violation ????????? Wouldn't a political joke be discussing politics ??????


I'm not sure who is making these rules, but clarification is definitely needed.




I can't go three hours without new rules and changes being added. I would recommend posting a thread called the NEW NEW RULES so we all can keep up to speed in these hourly new rule changes. :thumbup:

The joke forum isnt a discussion forum, its for posting jokes, some might have a curse word in them, one might be about the prez, one might be dirty in another way.....

This forum is for users to have a good time, who hang out on the site all day & want to let off steam with a good laugh.

If i dont like president jokes then im clearly not going to read jokes that have a title related to the word president.

If i dont want to read jokes that might offend me, im certainly not going to enter a joke forum with the rules & descriptions clearly defined in the first post.

You're lucky i didnt add rule 9, which was going to be "meme wars allowed" as long as they're clean per the rules that you agreed to in post one. nojoke

I could just imagine what you would have said about that rule...
