• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

vest extenders

I like the chains and buffalo nickel snaps. Don't wear my "colors" vests much these days for everyday riding. It's to heavy. See picture of it NOT fully decorated in my Avatar.

what is a vest extender?

Well if you have a vest for a long time and you gain a little weight you might want to get some vest extenders instead of buying a new vest. Extender have snaps on both sides and a length of leather brad or chain between the snaps. Some extenders have snap covers with logos like mine has stainless steel chain and CMA Logo snap covers on both sides.

Had to get up and go take a look.
Plain Chrome or Silver caps on the snaps
of my extenders.

Vest extenders were invented because the vests of middle aged riders are made of material that shrinks with age and no longer fits the middle aged bodies.
So vest extenders allow the rider to continue to use the shrunken vest.

I knew there was a logical explanation.

So that's what happened to my vest!!!

The wife and I use PGR (Patriot Guard Riders) vest extenders. They are nice when we wear over a riding coat and I also hang a couple dog tags I had made in remembrance of our brothers.

Originally got vest extenders to let some air though while riding here in the humid Ozarks. You can get them in different lengths to accommodate the sizing as your vest shrinks - mine seemed to shrink faster in the last few years, attributed to the humidity in the South. ;)
Now I have some custom ones made by a friend from Kansas. One is from the Mid-South MILE (A motorcycle rights conference) One is Triumph and another Harley. I'll have to see if I can get her to do a Spyder. Here is her Ebay store - https://www.ebay.com/sch/freedommann/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

>If having this link is not appropriate, let me know and I'll edit the post to remove it, thought I don't see any sponsors that sell extenders<
