• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Welded a home made trailer hitch on my F3s out of 1/4" steel and added a LED tail light. Won't be able to try it until next spring. What do you think?

:clap::clap: …….. I applaud your workmanship, I've made a few myself, but they wouldn't compete with your workmanship … You state " 1/4 inch ", I don't understand how you came up with that thickness as being necessary ….. The MAX you are told by BRP is a load of 400lbs.....it would be one thing if your trailer didn't have wheels and you were dragging it with the frame on the ground...… but with it rolling on wheels, it doesn't take much force to move a 400lb. load...… as an example :When I was 67 I was able to move my snow-mobile trailer with two machines on it. Total weight of that was 1600 to 1700 lbs.... I'm no Charles Atlas, kinda ordinary strength - wise, but I could maneuver it without much difficulty...….. Yours is beautiful tho ……. Mike

Excellent

Nicely done will wait with you to see the test results... I'm sure they will be great...

That is the best looking trailer hitch I've see for the F3. You did a great job on it. Have you come up with a wiring harness yet that will not mess with the F3 electronics?

You've done a good job on that hitch. Been so long since I've welded, that I probably couldn't lay a decent bead!!

20200721_114109 (2).jpg Update on my homemade trailer hitch, just got back from deadwood three wheeler rally (1900 mile round trip) and it's holding up good. Estimate about 5000 miles total pulling trailer that my wife likes to load up real good. Have since relocated the license plate to rear fender because the tire keep hitting it when I had it mounted directly under the tail light.
