• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No new Farkles for me for long time

West and SW

If you don't stay in Vermont there are a lot of opportunities here in the West and SW for locations like Reno (already mentioned), Vegas, Phoenix/Tucson area, Salt Lake, many areas of TX, etc. The best to you.

Rob

I have been looking around, I would like to stay working in the manufacturing field.
I wont have any problems finding work, because of my work ethic, and work experience/ and job knowledge.

Sorry to hear about your job. Take your time an try to find a job you like
Thanks, I am thinking about staying in the manufacturing sector.

They are giving us 2 months to find work. My final date of work: is Jan 4th, 2019, and I have 6 more years until retirement.

When I have more info. I'll post. It has been very stressful.

I hope you're right. Vermont is a pretty small economy.

Why wouldn't you use this opportunity to look into moving to warmer weather. I spent a year in Antrum, New Hampshire. Longer riding season.

Just a thought.

Good luck with your search. I know the feeling, the company I was with for 16 yrs closed in 03. But it will all work out. Gods speed my friend.

When you in Antrum, New Hampshire, did you ride on the Kancamagus highway?

No unfortunately I didn't. I went to college there. Lived in Houston Texas at the time, drove my little VW Beetle from Houston to Antrum, first time ever that I was ever north of Texas, Beautiful country, but Holey Kow, never in my life seen more than 1 or 2 inches of snow. Enjoyed my year there. The ice on the floor of the VW never melted all winter.

This was in 1962...............:yikes:

A new Distribution center is opening in Louisville KY. If you are looking to move out of state.
Amazon is opening a new distribution/fulfillment center in Greenwood, IN also; but not till 2020.
Wishing you the best now and in the future, wherever your new job takes you. Glad you're getting a severance package for a temporary financial
safety net. All the media is focusing on is the low unemployment rate; but downsizing and business closings are continuing to happen at a rapid rate.
