There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Prayers for Lamont

This is Joan. This is NOT Lamonster. I thank you all for the prayers and good thoughts. His sister is flying in from California tomorrow to come see him and help me make some decisions for his care. I have to get up early to make it for doctor rounds and just got through going through about 1,000 of his emails just since 28th.

I have had complaints of about too many prayer request threads and also about ten of you reported the post and you all know what I am talking about on the accident post. I have looked long at the post and tried to see how to handle it and I am going to leave it up because I don't want to take a chance on a soft delete. In the meantime, if that post offends you, just don't read it! It's that simple. I also understand people who don't want this forum to turn into a prayer forum. I cannot speak for the boss. Lamont is such a fair man and I have seen him handle situations where I would have just lost it. He never loses his cool. So I am going to have to ask you all to play nice, get along, and behave while Lamonster is in the hospital and unable to handle this and more.

I am still getting emails about help and questions and I am just forwarding them to Jacob at our shop. You can always call Lamonster Garage at 4173132245 and talk to the experts. We have to give Lamonster a break so he can get well.

If I see someone copy and post this message I will be very angry. Lamont has a family and 3 sons who are not taking this news very well. Today, he was going to be transferred to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis and we were all for it and I went home briefly to get ready for the trip. When I got back, that had all changed so he is still in the hospital in Springfield Missouri. Again I know you all love him and want to be in the know but we have to respect his family. Please consider them. I DO NOT WANT COPY AND PASTES GOING AROUND!

I have only known Lamont for 4 years and have been married to him 3-1/2 years so most of you have known him far longer than me. The Lamont you see here and around and about it the same Lamont he is at home. He is a simple, honest, humble man who loves to help people and make them smile. He has brought more people together, not only in the Spyder world, but also in a couple other lines of motorcycles he has been involved with over the years. So let's pull for Lamont and cherish every single day of your lives. Things can change in an instant. I love Lamont dearly and I'm doing everything I can to see he gets the proper care so he can be back and around for many more years. All the best to you all and forgive me if this note offends anyone. I have been taking care of Lamont nonstop since our Spyders in the Ozarks event when he got very sick. I am worn out and we have much more to face ahead.

I am saddened that you would even have to take time to write a note like this. Your time should be spent dealing with your crisis and not having to manage anything else. God bless you and Lamonster.

Just Got the News

Just got the sad news. I've been in the hospital in critical condition in a similar fix, and it is very difficult, indeed. Lamont has our understanding, our best wishes, our thoughts, and our special prayers. Hang in there, guy! It will take all you have, but I now you are strong and a fighter. If anyone can pull through it is you.

Joan, we have never met, but I wish you well with your juggling act, too. I hope you get some relief from the incredible stress. Just concentrate on Lamont and delegate the rest of the stuff. I wish I was in a position to help personally. Hang in there yourself.

Get well, Lamonster!

Scotty & Nancy

Praying for you Lamont and all your family at this difficult time. I know your spiritual base will guide you through this.

If prayers bring comfort to the afflicted, I think that should be okay, even though my posts might have indicated otherwise. You're certainly in my thoughts, you and Lamont both. I wish you both the strength to get through this.

Scotty… :welcome: Welcome back!

Is there anything we/the forum can do to help? Maybe a GoFundMe page to assist with medical costs? Maybe some folks who are local can cook and deliver meals when the family is ready for that?

I'm way south in Austin Texas but wanting and willing to help any way I can. If anyone has ideas on how to do so, please let me know.

Continuing to pass thoughts of healing and a speedy recovery to Lamont and his family.

Thank You

Thank You Joan, for taking time out of your extraodinary schedule to update us all here. As several have said, here and on FB, if there is anything you need .... just ask. Continued prayers and yet another reminder to take care of yourself as well.

All the best .... Ann:pray::pray::pray:

Again, this is JOAN. Both Lamont and I have had a rough year for health and are over our deductibles and then some. We should be okay. I may add that our health insurance has notified us they will be terminating us December 31. It's always nice to have news like that in the middle of a crisis and that was BEFORE they knew about the recommended liver transplant. Yesterday, while a good friend stood in for me with Lamont, I met with a local broker, etc., who is going to help us get this and more remedied we hope.

His sister has flown in from California and basically I wanted her here with big decision help and just to see him and be with him. But, it has also given me time to go home and rest and also take care of the business so Lamonster doesn't have to face overwhelming emails and business stuff when he ever makes it back to his desk. Thank you for the offer.

Update not for forwarding to FB and copy and paste PLEASE!

THIS IS JOAN. Lamont had his best day yet yesterday. We did some routine maintenance and then we took a walk around the ward with the help of a PT and assistance. Details that I had not shared previously - they had given him massive IV fluids and starvation to deal with the pancreatitis. However, Monday morning he was wheezing so bad and I notified the nurse and they did nothing. However, when the real attending physician finally saw him for the first time (since the weekend is a very bad time to get admitted to the hospital) he had them remove the IV immediately. He was angry and said he could hear him wheezing in the hallway. They had overdone it and Lamont had too much fluids pressing on his chest, heart, lungs. They gave him Lasix and in one day he got out 3 Litres of fluids. This really put extra stress on him that his body didn't need. He spent the weekend on heavy morphine and then some for the pain and discomfort and slept most of the time. He is weak from being in the hospital since Friday and actually being sick a week before his admission. They have not talked about discharge yet. His numbers are going the right way but he still has underlying issues in addition to this crisis.

His sister flew in from California and got in about 6pm. She stayed there the night with him. I am getting ready to go in and relieve her so she can come home and rest here at the house. I want to thank you all for the well wishes and good thoughts. I really can't answer questions and I'm sure there will be opinions and yes, I have many questions and issues with the doctors. Especially the "clear" ultrasound he had in July which was wrong. One step at a time, we have to get him strong and out of the hospital and home to recuperate in a peaceful setting.

*In the meantime please play nice. I don't have the bandwidth to monitor this and reported posts and such. That is all I ask.

Joan...wishing you and Lamont the best...hoping all continues to improve....my heart has been heavy...reading this helps.....take care of yourself...the caretaker needs rest....good that his sister is there to help....wish I was able to help...just know that my love and prayers are with Lamont and you
