• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question for BRPcare

A while back there was a discussion on here about oil and I cannot find the thread. At that time an BRPcare rep said no matter what oil you use it needed to be JASO MA2. Can you please confirm that?

Thanks

FWIW, the 2018 RT owners manual states either of the BRP oils or a semi synthetic or synthetic motorcyle oil meeting JASO MA.

No mention of MA1 or MA2 being required.

It does state though not to use automotive oil with friction additives.

They are Right JASO MA2 is Preferred No matter what anyone says about this or that oil, MA2 is Better than JASO MA.
Valvoline 10/40 Synthetic motorcycle oil is MA2 ($6.75 Walmart) as is Castrol RS4T Synthetic ($ More expensive). I'm sure there are many others!
