• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Music through an iPod

On my 2015 Spyder RT I have a Sena SMH-10 & SM10 Blue Tooth Transmitter with Dave’s Cable. I had an old cell phone that I downloaded music on and had it in the truck and listen to music through the radio or my helmet. It worked I thought great. I purchased a refurbish iPod on eBay. Today I download all my older music on it with iTunes and hooked it up with a iPod cable that came with the Spyder. It works great it shows the songs playing on the dash plus you can skip and play whatever song you want. I could set the volume up much higher also. This is much better than playing through a phone.

So, you're saying it works the way it's supposed to?
Yes, but I originally thought you should be able to control and see the music on a phone when hooked up but I understand how it works now. You are right it works like they say but I did not understand you have to have an iPod for it to work like they say.

Yep, and it's strange how only some models work properly. On my '13 it only lets me change playlists when I'm stopped. Though I can change songs within a playlist while moving????

 Yup thanks again Finless:bowdown: you can skip songs while moving if the dash settings are enabled & Ipod will be displayed. However mine can disable itself if I turn the key on & off with out letting the computer fully boot up to ask for push mode

OP: Not sure what cell phone you were using but I have a iPhone 5s and it works the same as the ipod. But the android phone does not have the same control features.

Thanks for all the information on the iPod. I did not realize you could do all the things from the handle bar. I purchased a refurbish 3rd generation off eBay for $31.00 and it looked like new and worked just as you explained in your video. Much better than playing music off the phone.
