• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If you are running a Garmin gps on your Spyder you have to check this out.
A 9 inch gps cord for you to use. Garmin gps cords are super long, this is the 1st time I have seen it.....Highly recommended company, very helpful and fast shipping. Check out the picture for the website address...… :spyder2::spyder2:

Thanks much ............and the cost was ?????? ........Mike

Thanks .....that's a good deal :thumbup::thumbup:...............Mike............. but before you buy !!! .... if your GPS is handle bar mounted, the cord MUST reach from the GPS to the POWER source it's connected to ........... even after the handlebars are fully turned .

You are absolutely correct....Mine is center mounted on a Spyder dock........ This company also has a few different sizes to accommodate what you need......Check it out

This cord would be used for those without the factory mount?

Correct, this will not work with a 660 and probably not the 590 or any other weatherproof Garmin.

To acess the Mini USB port on the 660, you must remove the sealed battery cover. Therefore, the Garmin cradle is best for those.

If you run a non weatherproof type device, this cord could work.

Does it have the traffic module in the cord. I can power my 2589 with a USB cable but I lose the traffic info.

I would fire that question to the company, very friendly, they should be able to answer all your questions:spyder2::spyder2:
