Installed the JB yesterday. Disconnected the battery last night. First thing after opening the doors. Connect the battery bush it outside and start it up. I let it run at idle 20 min. Then took her out to see if there was a difference. hyea: Holly Cow. Low end response.
To the 10's :2thumbs::clap: Like day and night.:thumbup: Put about 50 miles purred like a kitten. Not even a little pop when backing down. I'm at 1 foot. above sea level. Might have to disconnect / connect the battery when I get into the mountains.

You just plugged it all in and Wammo better right off the hop? Did you adjust any settings on the jb unit at all?????????????????????

I have a jb unit but never installed it yet, been on the shelf for a month now.

Just curious----What does disconnecting and re-connecting the battery have to do with riding in the mountains. (or anywhere else):dontknow:

Isn't the air at sea level is a lot heaver. Than the thin air up in the mountains. Fuel air mixture is what the JB is all about. Right. If I have to disconnect the battery and run at idle for 15 minutes so the system can re-program it self. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to re-program it in the thinner air. Unless it will do it automatically by itself. This electronic system is new to me. So temperamental it seems like to me more I learn about this bike the better I need to get, to know about electronics.

The computer will adjust for the differences in air, but it takes a while. I left Fl, near sea level and am 3000 feet up and after a good few hours of riding, the Spyder corrected for the changes. On Suzuki bikes, disconnecting the battery once you get to your destination makes the computer correct quicker ( all from real hands on experience). Maybe the Spyder works the same?
