• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ipod Connection at Handlebars

Hey guys,

Just purchased a new 2017 Spyder RT-S. Really excited to get all the mods I purchased installed.

I am looking to get the IPod connection that is in the trunk up at the handlebars.

Has anyone done this before rather it be running a USB extension from the trunk to the Front or going directly into the wiring harness?

Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks!

Yes, I have done it. I made a 7 pin DIN extension cable for another Spyder Lover here. It has to be shielded since it runs past the engine.

I bought a 6' lightning extension cable from Amazon. Plugged it into the trunk and ran it to the glove box. Not sure it would reach to the handlebars tho. Wayne
