Just got back my lab reports on both the RT and F3. The RT had 7k miles on it's oil and really held up well. The F3 did not fair quite so good, but I believe it is due to the difference in mileage between the two engines. Another factor the lab is probably not considering is that the oil takes a beating from the wet clutch. And in that regard it seems the more miles on the engine the less a shearing factor occurs. I will not be changing the oil on either byke for at least 7k miles. Very pleased with the results.
The RT report covers almost 30k miles and comprises 5 total reports. The F3 just the one. Not sure why the other report only had one....
As you can see the RT shearing has reduced as the mileage goes up.
I am not concerned with the caution. The RT did the same. The BRP oil sheared even farther than the lowest result on either engine.
