• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

For the Weather Less Fortunate

I am also stuck in this midwest snow/cold. Just taking trips through your pictures & dreaming for spring weather. Great pics!
I feel your pain, went out in the garage and started it up. Might have even braved a short trip to Walmart if the roads would not have been icy....

to Presidio...

Love that stretch of road...

Something for everyone! :2thumbs:

Beautiful pix

Todd,
come to Tombstone in a couple of weeks. We have a small get together but need a talented photographer!! 12-14 Jan. You are most welcome!
We are looking at 66-68 for the next week here in Las Vegas. Got so tired of snow, ice, gloom - we packed up and moved! We see no downside! Yes, it gets hot in the summer, but since we travel so much, it is no problem!!
cheers!

Oh, man. Wish I could!! Love the Las Vegas area. I'm teaching a class that Friday. Keep me up on other events. I'll be glad to take some pics!

Supposed to get into the 20s in Houston tonight. Get your pets, plants and pipes ready for the freeze. BRRR...

This weekend we're supposed the see minus twelve... :yikes:
Which is colder than we've seen in at least twenty years! :banghead:

Great photography, Todd. As an avid amateur I can appreciate what goes into making one of these shots. As this photo shows, it's not the equipment, it's the photographer that is key.
Well, thank you very much!

That was taken with my iPhone 7+. The lighting was just right to get this: just after sunrise and thin glowing clouds. Made it like a gigantic light box overhead.

One "trick" with your smart phone cameras during daylight hours: put your sunglass lens as close to the camera lens as you can. You have to hold it very still in the shot, but you have just made a makeshift ND filter. But, don't tell anyone. :)
