• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Accessory rocker switch for auxiliary lights to fill empty position in panel

I know I saw the answer to this somewhere but now I can't find it.

I want to get a 3-position switch matching the rocker switches in the RT switch panel. Can someone provide me a quick link to the right ones on eBay or Amazon?

Also, what is involved in removing that panel holding the switches just below the handlebars, so that I can install and hook up the new switch?

Thanks.

Can anyone point me to the thread where this topic (rocker switches and installation) was discussed pretty well?

(This is one of the problems with folks either using a meaningless thread name, or changing the subject on a thread to something completely unrelated - hard to find the relevant info sometimes)

Try these threads

Here are three threads that address you area of interest:

http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?69227-Center-console-switch-blank-question

http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?84850-USB-Power-in-RT-Switch-Cluster

By the way, you can use google search to search for threads in spyderlovers by entering something like the following in google search: "spyderlovers.com RT center console switch" (ignore the quotes). You will get a list of links that you can click on to see if any are what you are after.

Thanks Rob. That's what I needed.

Here's a video by Can-Am Spyder Accessories showing an RT center console switch (actually in this case, a dual USB port) install

Thanks to Pegasus for pointing me in that direction.

Auxiliary lighting switch eliminator

Pete,
I'm just gonna use the Denali 2.0 Switch Eliminator (since it also integrates with the Denali lights I'll be using) and always have the lights on full, but aimed down low enough to not be in other drivers eyes, is the point of your switch to allow the lights to be off even when the bike is running? I think they even have a relay that brightens/dims based on Hi or Low beam use.

I've been looking at that. Let me know how it works out.

I would rather that BRP put a power receptacle in that middle position, instead of in the frunk. It wouldn't cost much to re-route the wiring from the frunk to the cockpit.

For that matter, why is there a power receptacle in the frunk in the first place? (Talking about RT's)

:agree: ....That's why I moved my MP-3 plug from the Frunk to inside the glove box ..... There is just enough wire in the Audio rear harness to do this ..... Mike
